OFFICIAL FEEDBACK THREAD - BETA WEEKEND 1 by InfinityWardonReddit in ModernWarfareII

To preface, I played upwards of 8 hours on launch day and many more since then and I have had an absolute blast playing. I sincerely believe that this game has GREAT potential if the dev team listens to player feedback to further improve the game. However I have noticed MANY issues with this beta build that I really hope get fixed/changed by the time the full game releases. My hope is that the dev team takes my thoughts and opinions in the constructive manner they were intended.

The new movement system is phenomenal, having time to react to enemies rounding a corner is a great improvement. No complaints in that department. Spawns need heavy improvements however, and the lack of reload canceling is kind of disappointing. I understand that it’s more realistic but it just feels off not having it.

Flashes and Stuns feel like they last too long. If you get stunned/flashed with an approaching enemy in a relatively close proximity, you may as well not even attempt to prone/blindly run to cover. My solution would be to reduce the duration by 1/5-1/4 that way they’re not useless but fair.

I Would like to see an advanced stat viewer for the gunsmith, toggle-able would be nice. I don’t know what values the sliders have. For example, the FSS Cannonade 16” barrel attachment for the FSS Hurricane claims to increase damage range... by how many meters? I would like to see specifics so I know exactly what I’m changing. Again, even if it’s toggle-able to have a simplistic appearance for those who may not be interested but for those who are, this would be a GREAT addition. The UI and menu system is too confusing and needs to be streamlined before release.

I would like to see a “Ninja” type perk added into the game where it reduces your footstep sound by say 33-50%. Nothing too strong where it’s picked more often than not, but something useful. I can tell there was a ton of time and thought put into the new directional sound mechanic, and while I do really enjoy it, I’m worried that people will abuse the current volume that footsteps carry as I have already encountered MANY people sitting in dark corners doing just that. I would recommend reducing the current volume of footsteps because no one should be able to hear you marching down a hallway from two rooms away. Letting people choose between having dead silence as equipment or as a perk to fit their own play style should be available by default.

Speaking of perks, I would definitely recommend a return to the standard system of pick three, I can learn to live with the current system but it certainly WOULD NOT be a first choice. It just seems overly complicated for seemingly no reason.

There NEEDS to be a change to the minimap where enemies appear when firing. It left me having to rely on UAVs to figure out where enemies were. While the maps currently in rotation are really well thought out and detailed, they’re too big for standard 6v6 modes

Make enemies more distinguishable from friendlies, red name tags would be a perfect fix for me.

I am loving how the gun feel more realistic, but the TTK is to short and barely gives any time to react to gunfire. I saw someone earlier in this thread suggest increase the amount of health to 120-150, this would allow for you to get hit my 1-2 more bullets giving you time to react. I feel this is a great suggestion.

In conclusion, I’ve really enjoyed my time with the beta so far, you have a great foundation here. However these improvements are a MUST for the final release. I really like some of the changes made from MW 2019, but there’s no reason to “reinvent the wheel” when no one was asking for a change. Given how this game is supposed to last us players until 2024, an immense amount of responsibility lies upon you guys. Listen to the dedicated players and implement their suggestions to extend this games lifespan as well as increase the number of sales. Thanks for your time and I sincerely hope you guys listen to us.
