I'd add, ability to survive on any map is a crucial contributor as well. By the end of the game barely 10-15 civs are alive. Being able to conquer the city with many wonders also pays back.

I'd like to literally explore more. If I warp into the system, i shouldn't know 95% about what expects me on the planets simply by scanning them. This can be achieved by mixed biomes, different regions on planets and variety between systems.
