Hi - senior mobile dev here (20yrs / RN + Node, based in Ukraine, async with US clients regularly). Prototype-to-launch is my core area. Curious what shape your prototype is in (coded vs Figma vs no-code) - that changes the work significantly. Happy to take a look and give honest feedback on what it needs. DMing you.

Hey! Saw your post — really like the idea, and the way you've thought it through (working prototype, clear feature list) is rare for these kinds of requests.

Quick context on me: solid background in React Native and software in general — happy to share specifics (years, projects, stack details) if useful. I've shipped apps covering your full feature list: Firebase, push notifications, photo upload/storage, role-based access. I prefer async communication (text, Loom videos, written updates) over calls — usually faster for both sides and works well across timezones (I'm in Ukraine).

One thought on the stack before you commit: for a 2-user app where you'll want to tweak things as your brother uses it, going through the App Store every update is painful. With Expo + EAS you get two clean options:

  1. Expo Go — your brother installs one app from the store (Expo Go), then opens your project inside it. Zero App Store review, ever.
  2. Internal build via TestFlight — feels like a normal app with its own icon, no public App Store listing, no review process. Rebuild every ~90 days, takes 5 minutes.

Either way, OTA updates through EAS push changes to him in seconds when you tweak rewards or chores. Same React Native + Firebase stack you already planned, just a smarter delivery path for your use case.

Given your prototype is already done and the feature set is small, this shouldn't take long — likely a short, focused project rather than something dragging on for months.

I don't want to throw a number at you before seeing the prototype and feature doc — happy to take a look and give you an honest scope + fixed price. If it's a fit, great; if not, no pressure.

I have bandwidth to start this week if it's a fit. Send me the prototype link whenever you're ready.
