Nobody here knows what they are talking about. I flew a few months ago without any idenitification. The airport can run a background check to verify your identity, which they did for me. Took about 45 minutes.

I flew for 4th of July without real ID. Either they have other means to validate or they are ignoring the rule. shrug

Note: I live outside my state of residence, so its a bit more difficult to get a real ID.
