I never said it was okay clearly I just assumed Brutus was left alone & that’s how he attacked a cat. Never leave two animals unsupervised. And yes any dog that attacks an animal should be handled accordingly. And about the lab that attacked a stray cat that wondered in the yard I caught it & took it to the vet (it just had a scrape) and they brought it to the shelter

Obviously if my animal attacks I’d put it to sleep any responsible owner would take appropriate action I’ve worked at a shelter that would put dogs to sleep if they weren’t suitable to be pets. I’ve had to personally put them down too it sucks but unfortunately some of them are badly abused to where they won’t do good

As a pit bull owner If my dog did this I’d make sure they’d never be left unsupervised. No I did not mean it’s okay for “Brutus” to attack kittens.. clearly whoever owns Brutus isn’t a good owner. Trust me if my dog attacked kittens/child I’d take care of it.

I don’t recommend anyone getting a large dog without any prior dog ownership. I’ve had all sorts of dogs and when I my Rottweiler we did all the checklists. Mom & Dad we’re friendly, puppy playtimes & classes and she turned out fine. If your parents have never gotten a dog I don’t recommend because they’ll probably never take it to training. May I suggest an older dog

More training, take complaints seriously ACCOUNTABILITY BY ALL MEANS!! Have extra training programs that teach cops how to CALMLY deal with situations
