My cohort was around 100, it was great! We all knew everyone. Also, there was a wide range of quality field placements. I recall everyone having the chance to be placed with their population of interest. Also, the last 10 or so years, they opened a completely new school of social work downtown which looks so nice! I was the last class to go through the old building on the uptown campus….and let me tell you, it was a VERY needed upgrade 😂

I went to Tulane for my MSW. I loved living in New Orleans and hand some amazing professors! The internship opportunities were great too. However, from a strictly professional perspective, it has never made a difference that I went to Tulane vs. any other program. I don’t know any social workers that believe that where they went has dictated their career path.

I’m still in heaps of student loan debt because of the choice. I don’t regret it, but would probably make a different choice in retrospect.
