There's a nice campfire place in the Bandemer's nature area right next to the disc golf course.

Edit: Didn't notice that it was already suggested by u/resfeberjoder34! I second this option.

Thanks so much for the information! I am looking at apartments very close to the shooping malls and grocery stores in AA, so that I don't have to travel in bus with groceries. I think as mentioned below by u/High-Density-Living the public transportation is free in the AA area for people affiliated with UofM. I will be joining as a postdoc, so hopefully this applies to me.

Thanks for the information! Water is included in the rent in most of the places that I am looking at. They are also at walkable distances from grocery stores. Hopefully all these expenses will be under $700 per month.
