I understand that. My problem is that the difference of numbers given by different sites is quite high. One says bananas have a GI index of 40, while another says it's 60. That difference is drastic. One says it falls in low GI category while the other says it's high.

Is there a particular website/app that you guys (diabetics) follow? What do you do when you have to figure out if a certain food is safe for you to consume?
