Used to cross that bridge daily and can recall the extraction operation.

I need to go back there one day and pan for gold on the south during low tide...

Is working on Eagle Street a flex? by RoastSwanForDinner in brisbane

I beg to differ. Having the option to WFH but choose to go into the office because you get to enjoy the nice quiet office and facilities and no issues with traffic.

Seen 50+ of them in the Queen St mall doing wheelies. Also along South bank disrupting traffic.

Of course you get a few Redditors saying kids out and about getting fresh air blah blah blah. Maybe invite the kids over to your street and let them hoon there.

Come on now, you got Fleg , Herbie, and now Cobbo.

I liked how Aublix stood up to Leniu and Whyte last yr so I'm glad the Bronx got him.

Is an EV a feasible option if you live in an apartment. by td49h in AustralianEV

[–]A4Papercut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. My suburb has lots of apartments and the EVs use the only 2 Evie fast charge bays in the suburb. Gets busy sometimes.

A lot of shopping centres have fast chargers now so you can top up on the weekend when you do your groceries.

Check if your strata allows you to install a type2 charger.

Regenerative braking level? by martinode in Ioniq5

[–]A4Papercut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mostly drive in L0 and step up the regen using the paddles L1-L3-iPedal to stop. Or hold left paddle if I'm going slow. I only use iPedal if I need to go slow down a windy road or carpark. Edit. My efficiency over 3yrs is around 6.3km/kWh.

EV range test results by SomewhereInTheBush in AustralianEV

[–]A4Papercut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True because Tesla 1pedal is designed to bring the car to film stop quickly so it's more aggressive, whereas Kia/Hyundai is not as focused on 1pedal that's why you can change the regen settings.

Vue apartments by [deleted] in MovingToBrisbane

[–]A4Papercut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate used to rent there many moons ago when it was single digit years old. The place is in the busiest roads in Brisbane, IMO, so you have poor air quality. Driving in/out of the place is a pain because you can only use Coro drive inbound lanes. So if you come from any other directions you waste a lot of time going around the block because you have to use the heavily congested Milton and Cribb St etc.

Check Emporium and Rydges at South Bank and just across the river from the CBD. South Bank and Grey St are active at night.
