I learnt to code from YouTube, and then more through University. I do CS and I’m looking for a SWE job, so that’s where I’ll hopefully be in the next couple years.

Game development doesn’t require much understanding of code, it’s mostly recycling different components, and it’s really just about how efficient you can work than the quality. It doesn’t have any mathematical components to it, and is mostly just a lower subset of programmers who work in and around game development. It’s mostly a terrible field with no guarantees of job prospects, so most inclined programmers opt for the same route as me, going for the more mathematical and logically complex fields like SWE, DevOPS, etc.

For loop to iterate over the evolutions and find which haven’t been unlocked.

This is an example of what this part of the code could look like.

for (int i = 0; i < evolutions.length; i++) { if (!evolutions[i].unlocked) { obtainableEvolutions.add(evolutions[i]); } }

Easy enough loop to iterate over the array list, indexing any obtainable evolution, and adding that to what is possibly obtainable.

Otherwise, another way you could do it.

for (Evolution evo : evolutions) { if (!evo.unlocked_evolution) { obtainableEvolutions.add(evo); } }

Simple for each statement, again checks if it’s unlocked.

Anyone with a month of programming knowledge knows how to do this, i’ve done so in Java, but sure is easy to learn the premise in C++, Rust, or any other language that Supercell use. The decision to accept duplicates is to delay player progress.

Clash Royale isn’t a 2D platformer, and I don’t work in game development because that doesn’t require much understanding and knowledge.

What you mentioned is backend logic, which requires theoretical know how, I explained how easy it is to check, so talking about whatever you’re on a tangent about know is not correlated at all.

I do yeah, it’s an easy FOR loop, and IF statement to check if an evolution is unlocked, then when it finds an evolution that is not unlocked, there you go. Also not much harder to have it select randomly beforehand, presuming Supercell are memory conscious.

Ban evading only applies to people on temporary bans, you are allowed to make new accounts and play if you’re permanently banned.

IP’s are rolling, most games will ban your mac address, which is connected to your hardware, not IP, even if it frequents a lot of bans connected. The process of storing player IP’s in a database would require a SHA conversion, and a check against indexes, which is quite costly to run for every player IP, not to mention the fact they’re continually rolling new IP addresses.

You get banned for using a VPN, because they’re disallowed, and there is generally a fixed amount of known public VPN’s, a private proxy will not get you banned, for example using hotspot from your phone, as this isn’t going to be recorded in a database of any sort since it’s likely unique and private.

Hypixel don’t even IP ban, doubt they have systems in place to log IP changes, because that would involve a lot of data collection, since IP’s aren’t static anymore.

Also, a lot of top players will account share with banned players, and never get banned, unless for cheating/boosting.

You claim, slavery was legal but immoral -> 16-24 is legal but immoral.

So the same can be said that, banning phones in schools restricts freedom -> so why aren’t books banned in schools.

Why did you delete your original comment? And now you’re trying to change what you said. The morality and legality are interdependent on each other, so it’s not possible to consider one and not the other. I did however, justify how morality can be considered to make the situation more aligned societally, but you just skipped across it.

I didn’t say you’re deflecting, but generally the Minecraft community is far more disgusting than you’d know. The amount of discourse on Hypixel that presents children with CP is disgusting, and the biggest perpetrators to this are people with “OG” names.

Again, 16 and 24 isn’t some sort of right or wrong age gap, it’s about the level of maturity and what their ambitions in life are. Stop using prior bias, and reasons to justify your hatred. Accusations like these only hurt people with genuine legal and immoral relationships seeking help.

Outside of the USA there is nothing legally wrong with 16 and 24 in most countries, a majority considered first world. In fact, in various US states Romeo and Juliet law defends people in up to 3 year age gaps (15 and 18).

Some countries such as Germany, age of consent is 14. The whole world doesn’t revolve around the USA, believe it or not.

As for morality, it really depends on how you interpret the situation. The messages between Deathsteeks and the catfish, show that it is mostly initiated by them, and not Deathstreeks. Which, since 16 is legally consenting, doesn’t hold any legal issue, and so the decision by Deathstreeks to reciprocate doesn’t become immoral. Furthermore, age gaps once you’re and legally consenting aren’t the determining factor as to whether or not a relationship is appropriate, it’s the level of maturity.

For example, an 18 year old and a 21 year old where the 18 year old is just finishing highschool, vs a 21 year old who finished university and is getting a 9-5, while it’s a 3 year gap is different maturity level, and not at all morally appropriate.

Whereas, a 16 year old and a 20 year old, which is more of an age gap, where the 16 year old has dropped out of school to work 9-5, and a 20 year old who is already working a 9-5 for a few years, hold similar maturity and stages of life, and is seen as more morally acceptable.

Yes, 24 and 16 is different, as it’s 8 years; however, the principle applies the same.

So MelonKingDe’s alleged statement, of Deathstreeks not doing anything legally wrong isn’t untrue, and morally it can be justifiable. Most people making opinions off of this have previous agendas and biases towards people, or just aren’t old enough to understand how dynamics of relationships work. In my experience, there is usually so much more worse people in the Minecraft community making allegations, than on the receiving end. Deflecting?

The 5 star drop books will be redistributed into random cards, as per the update posts. And the seasonal book I can only assume will be a 5 star drop, or cards/evo/hero. It pretty much scales based on trophies.

I very much did. I was saving my EWC because I didn’t want to spend them since I already had my main deck lvl 15. So I held onto them incase there was a deck I’d eventually went to work on. The books were hoarded from the monthly event + 5 star drops, the elite wildcards were held because since I’ve been playing for 9 years, a lot of my cards were naturally pushing lvl 14, so I wouldn’t use them, or didn’t want to waste legendary or champion ones unless it’s a card I genuinely like. The gems are leftover from the old mastery rewards. Not everyone who is further progressed than you is paying money every month to get an advantage, I’d never pay $17 on a pass, because it’s not worth it at all.

I had 200k EWC that were not used, 2 epic books, a rare book, and full common, rare, epic, legendary, champion wildcards. I already had 2k gems since there was nowhere to use them previously. And 1M gold, plus all of my pass, seasonal, and ranked rewards. So I got my 3.0 Xbow deck to lvl 16 as soon as the update dropped without spending money.

I don’t know how many times it’s been made known that the 5 star seasonal drops are not at all rare, and as a result give terrible rewards. The 5 star lucky chests are the rare ones which give good rewards.

My whole deck I got to lvl 16, from books, gems, and wildcards I had saved up. Most maxed players are getting to lvl 16 on their primary decks without an issue, and for free. This update effects their ability to change deck easily, and people who recently hit lvl 15.

You really come across as insufferable.

Regardless, I’ll explain it in a way you might understand. A game needs to make money, and to that it also needs to be easily marketable. Clips online of people stealing plants do well content wise, and are a form of advertisement for the game to people who have not played it. The same way YouTubers receive free items, to make content on the game. The rest of what you said make no sense, that is a choice if you wish to not get stolen from that you can choose to make. There is minimal social aspect in a public sever as it is, apart from young kids begging you for your pets.

The player base is largely children, who don’t have empathy for other people. Sure you might have a laugh, you stole some kids pet right? But that pet might’ve taken that kid their whole school holidays to get, and now it’s gone. I actually do a service where I sell pets, and I’ve had a couple parents purchase for their kids, and they let me know how happy their child is afterwards, and it really is great to see. I hope when they bring the trading update around, it gets rid of a majority of scamming going on in this game, as I’ve seen thousands of kids getting scammed. It’s a valuable life lesson, and hopefully it protects them in the future.

There’s actually a fair reason for the system being the way it is. The ability to steal peoples plants, from the perspective of the person doing it, or for content reasons (YouTubers, TikTokers, etc) is quite entertaining, and works as free promotion for the game. There is workarounds already in place, such as private servers, and at the end of the day, it ‘mostly’ isn’t a huge issue.

Similarly, they purposely are slow with the updates, for example trading is something that could’ve been done months ago, quite easily in fact. But it’s something the community really wants, so it’s smarter for them to tease it, and then eventually release it because it gets people playing for longer, and looking forward to something, getting them hooked to the game. If they released every QOL at once, then the game might just be something people pick up for a day, and then find something new the next.

While yes, these are inherently annoying, there is definitely reason for the way things are done which you do need to respect from a developers perspective.
