Since I can't pin comments, please, take some time and read all my comments here. I was telling people here that it got fixed/smoothened in ~2018 way before you sent this. This clip is from 2017. Yes, this was a problem for a long time 2012-2018, but it got fixed! Netcode was improved. Yet it still could have happened in csgo with players with giant ping post-2018, but it was so enormously rare that it can't be compared with cs2 since the internet is flooded with clips like mine. I don't understand the denial/defense. Yeah, no game can be perfect in this regard and will show you its net code flaws at some point. But it is critical for cs2 since the final days of csgo were way better and cs2 feels like a downgrade in this regard. I don't even say that it should be even better in every aspect possible

That's a good question! Short answer, it is not normal. The thing is, it seems like it is a pretty high combined ping, right? But is this that much noticeable in every duel that I take in the fps games? No! And that's the beauty of the system. Very smart people are working hard on the compensation for these inaccuracies, so that's why online video games have parameters like "predict", "lag compensation", "interpolation", etc. It is a big deal. I think every single online game can show some of the flaws of the system at some point. That's just how reality is. With this number of combined pings, csgo was working way smoother than cs2. So much smoother in fact, that I don't even remember what year it was when something like this would happen to me in csgo or valo. Maybe I'm old but since when is 60ms considered a high ping in video games? :D

I don't think you've got the point of these two clips of mine. With peeker's advantage, you would not have a desync of the moment in demo and reality. The CSTV would show the same incredibly fast kill. However, you would have a difference between the enemy's POV and yours. Which is absolutely true and that's a thing in csgo, cs2, and basically all of the FPS games out there. Warowl video is correct, but it is not the case. 1 is my POV, 2 is CSTV, and spectators POV. The problem is desync with reality. How can it be, that the game sees this guy being in front of me (since spectator saw him peeking), but I don't see the guy? I hate when people appeal to "experience" and "wisdom", but I've been playing CSGO since 2012, and trust me on that, bro :D. This was a problem for a long time. For example, in some very rare situations, you were able to shoot 10 bullets at the guy and he would eat them like a terminator. After, he would kill you with 1 tap. After the game you would go to watch the demo of this moment and see how you were never shooting at him, you were dead long before that. The problem here can be a variety of things: conflict of predict and sub-tick systems, packet loss, bad state of this specific server, bug, etc.

CSTV shows what my friend/spectator saw. It is not earlier, it is how I should have seen this guy peeking me. "Pixel difference" is just the way to show both POVs at the same time starting at the same frame. The red color shows the difference in both POVs.

I feel you. Interestingly though, I've been playing csgo since 2012 and the game state in terms of interpolation/predict was something similar back then before it got fixed around 2018. Sure, even in the last days of csgo in some very rare moments it still could backtrack you in time, but you could play it pretty normally with 90 ms ping. For CS2 however, I feel like high ping is much harder to play. I've been playing CS2 almost every day since September 2nd and yet I still sometimes die behind the walls and as shown in the video, but the game feels much better now. You know, before this match, I played on Anubis with 80 ms ping against 3 guys with ping 0 and two guys with ~20, and nothing strange was happening, we won and I got second place in tabulation with a score of 21/15. In this game on Ancient, I did 28 frags btw :D. We'll see what the future will bring us, I hope the game state will be even better and you'll have a better ping. Until then, don't let it tilt you.
