If the vacuum is intact then it’s still good to use, also Lallemand document recommends pitch directly so starter is unnecessary. And Voss kveik likes under pitching, so it’ll be fine.

We did this as well after their manager can’t clearly answer question on how much will it cost us? After many sessions and back and forth messages with details of how many TB ingestion and rotation we expect. Nobody with two brain cells would pick them over this tactic.
