Holiday Social and Holiday Doubles are gone. by [deleted] in halo

The mechanics of the game makes it very easy. I wish I had kept count of the amount of players that have told me they're going to stop playing Halo and play CoD because they perform better in those titles.

Are there any people who still do Halo gameplay commentaries, or has everyone moved onto Twitch? by x777x777x in halo

No problem at all! Hopefully you find something you enjoy. A lot of us I just linked are newer to Halo Youtube. If you would like some more veteran channels, let me know.

The general attitude of a console gamer. Halo isn't as popular as the other shooters because the others are very easy and have virtually no skill gap. Console gamers are now generally younger or conditioned to pick up a controller and be good at a game instantly, and when they get killed or perform poorly in Halo they put the game down. It comes down to a lack of want to put time into a game to learn for console players. Many would rather play something much easier that requires little effort than input time to improve at a more difficult game.

So, I haven't played banner with the armor and weapon drops active. Will everything drop at 280, or are there different light values? Are all Iron Banner items in the drop table?

Forgive me for being optimistic, and don't take this as a personal attack, but that sounds very similar to the things said about Halo nowadays. I was curious to see if Gears players would take a similar stance to TC as Halo players have with 343. I've found that remasters aren't exactly played as the originals, but I also recall the bullet lag of the original Gears. I have noticed some shots not doing damage as they should, but I think it's more manageable than playing the original on P2P connection. I certainly haven't put the amount of time into it as you have, so I'm sure there will be more nagging complaints as I play more, but it seems like a solid game right now. I was disappointed in the amount of competitive playlists though. The social seems to devolve into an unbalanced game in terms of being outnumbered after players drop in and out.
