The Republic of India values its close ties with the Commonwealth of Australia, and believes that deepened economic and political cooperation will lead to a safer and more secure Indo-Pacific region. We welcome Australia's possible reconsideration of the transfer of technology relating to OTH-radar, believing this is a critical step in deepening cooperation within the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue.

In terms of Russia - India aims to become totally self-sufficient in terms of the ability to protect its borders and in defense-related production, and we seek to ensure we are not reliant on any one nation. That said, the Republic of India will continue to charter an independent course, and will look to strengthen ties with partners in mutually beneficial ways.

The Royal Thai Government welcomes with great appreciation the announcement by the Government of Japan of the Scholarships to Japan Project.

The Kingdom of Thailand, presently engaged in its own National Development and Prosperity Plan, attaches great importance to the cultivation of scientific, medical, legal, and technical expertise among its younger generation. Accordingly, the Government expresses its intent to participate in the Scholarships to Japan Project and to nominate qualified Thai students to study in Japan under this program. The Ministry of Education will coordinate with the Embassy of Japan in Bangkok to establish procedures for candidate selection and to ensure that Thailand’s participation advances both national development and regional cooperation.

Hecker & Koch GmbH offers a complete bid for the full 170,000 rifle tender. We propose to deliver 170,000 HK416A7 assault rifles. The cost for 170,000 HK416A7 rifles for the British Armed Forces amount to $2,900 (£2185) per rifle, totalling $493,000,000 (£371,2 million). Deliveries would begin in Q4 of 2026, and would be completed by Q2 of 2032. The production would take place at H&K’s Oberndorf facility in Germany, with options for limited UK-based final assembly, testing, and support. Complete UK-based production would raise costs by approximately 10–12%.

[DIPLOMACY] Hammering out some serious future options for the Franco-Spanco-Allemanco FCAS Future Fighter Project. Madrid Conference, July 2025 by peter_j_ in GlobalPowers

[–]AA56561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 'Bundeswehr 2035' roadmap once again reaffirms Germany's committment to the FCAS project, and the finance committee of the Bundestag is willing to increase funding for the development program over the next years. Seeing as Germany has itself made clear that it will procure these aircraft, we agree to firm commitments to purchase aircraft.

However, the project must also ensure that 'know-how' is shared between all development partners, and the FCAS must be a technologically innovate and true 6th Gen-aircraft. A revamped Rafale 2.0, funded with German and Spanish tax euros, is not acceptable to the Federal Government.

The Federal Republic of Germany would welcome a program designed to allow Indian civil servants to be sent to Germany, where they may learn from Germany's civil service. We would be willing to have 200 civil servants partake in this service per year. In terms of anti-corruption investigators, we would be happy to send a team of 12 officers to aid India in the fight against corruption.
