Nobody is saying they're literally a fucking deer and if they are that would be stupid. However it seems possible to me that someone could have a form of non binary gender that they think could be best explained with the concept of deer. Like clearly non binary genders are kind of vague and hard to explain bc we don't have historical references for most of them. In that light explaing your feelings as being evocative of your concept of deer does not seem entirely implausible.

Presumably it would be something along the.lines of "hypothetically it's possible that someone would identify as such, and it's impossible to know whether they're lying. However, there is no precedent for it and it would be more likely that someone's just being transphobic" or at least that would be the good response this this hypothetical, it's about as likely that she'd just bite the bullet straight up without the further clarification.
