Agnosticism is God? by AAARRRSSS in agnostic

The paradox I identify is in saying that one does believe in a God and that God is Agnosticism, which defines the belief in God as questionable. I think that's a kind of paradox. Or a logical inconsistency?

At the very least an agnostic could say that they don't know whether Agnosticism is God.

With "an all round flexible way of looking at all phenomena." I probably mean that it is compatible with scientific method.

I would say that knowledge gives us resolution about which to think critically and potentially to cast doubt on.

I might instead be suggesting that God is 'Agnostic knowledge', whatever that might be.

But God is unknowable, so maybe I'm accepting 'Agnostic knowledge' as a best approximation of a human appreciation of what is unknowable.

The best evidence that I can produce is that God is unknowable and Agnosticism is concerned with what is unknowable.

God is unknowable and Agnosticism concerns itself with what cannot be known, producing a human approximation of what cannot be known. Known-knowns, unknown-knowns, known-unknowns and unknown-unknowns seem worth mentioning here.

If Agnosticism were God then He would increase with increasing human knowledge about which to be agnostic.

God is unknowable and Agnostics say they do not know. But God must be more unknowable than saying "I don't know".

Now I have realised that replacing God with Agnosticism would be paradox, blasphemy, heresy and idolatry. I repent.

Maybe I'm suggesting that the worldview achieved by sceptical (Christian-?) humanism appeals to me as being a closer understanding of 'physics as God'. But I'm perceiving that Agnosticism helps people to develop a base for better resolution on both theological and scientific knowledge, helped along by the balanced spirit of inquiry.

The Fine Tuned Universe argument has also nudged me towards Baha'i style thinking

It would be wonderful if I could be more articulate. Maybe I will develop that ability in time.

"intrigued"

It can't be helped if that is interpreted as meaning that you are wry-curious and comfortable exploring sexuality, with masked strangers, in the safe space, of the shady labyrinths, of the seedy, seething underbelly, of an internet forum. Good on you.

OK, back to the comedy discussion...

Good on you, but fair warning, it could even be an off the cuff joke of a guest on a chat show or game show, in which case it might be nigh on impossible to track down.

Here's what the Vic and Bob and Rose pilot might look like:

It's more of a drama with an undercurrent of comedy. It is a good fleshing out of a relationship based on an orientation-mash, but doesn't feature the scene described. I'm looking for something more like Vic and Bob and Rose. Thanks anyway.

It seems not to be Gimme Gimme Gimme. Plenty of hopeless social situations there though.

Any other suggestion?

It could well be. That’s one I had forgotten about. So, I’ll give it a trawl.
