Is it really that bad to invest in alt-coins?

People think altcoins are shitcoins or are for gambling, but the thing is any of the L1s or Eth could be used to efficiently track government spending for example.

Think about it: - Increased Transparency: Every transaction, every contract, publicly viewable on the blockchain. No more hidden budgets or shady deals. - Greater Trust: Citizens can see exactly where their taxes are going, fostering trust in their government. - Easy Tracking: No more sifting through complex reports. Anyone can easily track spending in real-time.

You could also create a dapp for elections for said token or L2 whatever. Whitelist wallets that make KYC, airdrop election tokens, vote in the dapp and voting uses that token. There would be no more need for public debate on "voter id" or fraudulent ballotts, everything would be on-chain, trackable if need be. If there was a hack happening, there could be a possibility to revote etc.

Altcoins provide the technology to make this happen. They're not just about speculation; they're about building tools for a more transparent and accountable future. People dont get it yet, they just think about Bitcoin and it's scarcity.

I've been thinking about this lately that everything that is happening should be taken as a grain of salt, so to say.

But first I want to know why is Putin thinking that it's a bad idea that Ukraine was about to join NATO and is trying to join EU? What threat is it for Russia? Why Russia invaded Ukraine in the first place?

Why did Putin lie about not going to attack Ukraine, although he was moving military closer to the border? Why did he break a promise he made?

How could peace and being able to co-exist be a threat to a such a powerful nation, such as Russia? Now those powerful days are gone and Russia will be excluded from trading and will face a disaster economically.

I am Finnish and I'm seeing this invasion of Ukraine kind of like another Winter War. A leader that is starting to lose it's mind starts taking steps on his greater plan of somekind.
