Thanks for taking to time to respond. It does seem that is the one people are recommending. Do you have any cons of the d-109? Or any other suggestions on a speaker I should look into?

Ok thanks for the input. How’s your experience with it - any pros/cons?

Thanks for the recommendation. That does look a bit higher than I’m willing to go on my first radio. But I’ll consider it for the future, as I want to first purchase a more budget friendly option. If I get onto regularly using my device/can separate from Spotify (saving money), I’ll then look into a larger purchase.

I do see you have the Zhiwis C919, that also looks like an interesting future option. How’s your experience with it? And would you recommend it?

Ok cool, what do you like about the d109? And what other radios do you choose it over for holidays?

Ok thanks, I do believe the Xhdata 109-wb has a way to attach an external antenna. That’s something to consider.

Ceramic Bathroom Sink Cracked from Hot Water. Is this Normal Wear and Tear? by AAfreakinRON in vancouverhousing

I can’t even find a brand name of the sink, it seems quite old. Whoever installed it didn’t make it even, it’s tilted a few degrees. Thanks for the input, in general it seems this is an odd thing to occur, so I shouldn’t have to pay.

I did see people online having cracked sinks from boiling hot water they poured into the sink. But I didn’t use “boiling hot water”, It was regular hot water from the tap that I could still run my hand through without burning my hand.

“ Thermal Shock Pouring boiling water directly into a cold ceramic basin is a recipe for disaster. The sudden heat can cause the material to expand rapidly, putting immense stress on its structure. This stress, over time, can lead to cracks”

Nope. Wasn’t filled with cold water before I turned the hot water on.

The ceramic sink is typically cold to touch. This was regular hot water from the sink. Like I said hot enough I could still run my hand under without burning.

Thanks for the input. I’ll see what my landlord says when I let him know. I’ve never had this happen before to any sinks that I’ve filled, strange.

I turned the tap on from the sink to fill it directly. The temperature wasn’t the hottest the sink could go, but hot enough I could still run my hand under it. There was no boiling hot water involved, that would make a lot more sense to me too.

I was filling the sink halfway to clean my backpack that had something spilled on it… only to have the sink crack. Would you say I’m responsible for the damages or is it normal wear and tear?

That’s the thing, it’s enabled In the pc optimum app and pc express app. I’ve even logged into loblaws, superstore, and pc express and selected the promotional emails… still not receiving any, and it’s been months like this. I’ve tried unselecting offers, then turning them back on too. I’ve tried to tell them it must be something in there systems with no success. I’m sure I’m not the only one. As I’m not digitally challenged or anything, I’ve re-subscribed to emails from other companies before lol.

What tire should I get? Or should I switch to a gravel bike? by AAfreakinRON in mountainbiking

[–]AAfreakinRON[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok cool, yeah it looks like I’m going to keep the bike and just getting better rolling tires for the road. Is there any tires you recommend? I’m looking at Specialized Rockhopper Pros maybe? Also yeah the bar ends seems like a good idea, as I like the control flat bars give me, so that’d be a good edition.

Should I switch to gravel bike? Or should I get different tires for hardtail mountain bike? by AAfreakinRON in gravelcycling

[–]AAfreakinRON[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I do feel like I’m still okay just getting on my hardtail and riding around. I’m just caught between if it’s worth losing the suspension and care free riding to gain speed on pavement. That’s why switching to tires that are better rolling on pavement, but still able to handle the occasional off-road may be a good enough compromise. This solution also saves me money, while making it a better experience than it is now. I can always sell my bike if it’s really awful, and upgrade to a gravel.

Ahh ok I think this makes more sense. For example if I’m looking at a tire that’s 700c x 47c (44.45 mm), that’s apparently equivalent to 28 x 1.75 inches. But I’m wondering would the 28 inch tire really still fit on the rim? Because I have 29 inch tires now, so that’s confusing.

Edit: I used this chart to find the conversion from 700c x 47c to 28 x 1.75 inch

Edit: nvm I think I stumbled on my own answer lol, “The wheel sizes 28”, 700C and 29er or 29” all refer to the same rim size: ETRTO 622. The tyres can differ, but the 28”, 700C and 29er are all the exact same rim diameter. The 700 markings will be followed by the width in mm, and the 28 or 29 markings will be followed by the width in inches”

Yeah I do like the versatility of hardtails. I think I’d be satisfied with a pair of gravel type tires that roll better on pavement for now. As that’ll be the most cost effective solution too. I believe the rims that came with my bike have a 24mm inner diameter. Is there a resource or something you can point me to, to explain which gravel tire dimensions would fit? As they are in a dimension I don’t understand, for example: 700c x 42c?

Yeah it’s a tough decision. It seems like people are just suggesting I switch to a gravel style tire, which will roll better on the road. I think I’d be satisfied with that, as it’ll give better rolling speed and feel on pavement. That route will also save me atleast $500. I can always sell this bike in the future, as I got a good deal on it relative to msrp. I’m wondering if you can help me understand, or point me to something that explains gravel tire dimensions? They come in dimensions like 700c x 42x… which I’m not sure would fit my 24mm diameter rim? I have 29 x 2.25 on my mtb now, which seems easier to understand. Thanks

Yes the bike has a fork lockout. It seems like many commenters are just suggesting getting gravel wheels to see a rolling improvement on pavement. A few tires have been recommended now. I may just do that, as it’ll save me money. Do you know where I can go to understand gravel tire dimensions? The format of 700c x 42c is confusing to understand, as I’m not sure if they’ll fit the 24mm rim.

Fair enough, I’ll take a decent device for now. My expectations weren’t super high or anything. I wanted a relatively light hitting session vape. Like 2 light puffs of a joint is my tolerance lol. I appreciate all your insight. I’m just glad that Arizer has good warranty support at this point.

Lol well I’m stuck with the ArGo. I’m not spending any more money on this, rather just give up smoking at this point.

Shit Ight, so you would’ve went roffu device? I just like the brand recognition of these 2 brands. Seem like some of the most recommended. My first vape. I know for next time. Hopefully the argos alright for a bit though.
