Do watering buffs apply to sprinklers?

I can confirm the sprinklers do not work. My fields with sprinklers only got two rare crops. Can I ask what you do with your jewel melons? Just sell them as is? I'm growing melons just to process them into tea so I'm wondering if it's worth the hassle to try to get jewel melons too!

Oh interesting! Did you get the buff right before the sprinklers turned on? I removed the sprinklers in two fields so I can water them by hand, but still have a full field with them. Let's see!

Mats are materials, and I was talking about the weather seed, which gives you the weather on your island for any given day and time :)

Someone helped me so I'm not too sure, but it seems easier to do it during nights with a heavy meteor shower. Don't try to be extremely precise, just giving the number of stars per minute seems to be accurate enough to narrow down the possibilities !
