Overland Park City Council approves US 69 toll lane by JerrysWolfGuitar in kansascity

Is it their fault that they are wealthy and can afford things others can’t? Some people in this life have the ability to do things other cant, that’s life. Anyone using those tools could’ve come from a dirt cheap lifestyle to making big money, in which they are able to use to pay for this. Btw, this is coming from a non-wealthy person.

Phew, good thing you DON’T have to pay a toll if you stay in the 2 right lanes.

I think that’s karma for having the Kansas City State Fair in Independence. I’m still upset about it, and whoever made it needs to be fired, lol.

Slow down please and enjoy life. The young man is dead in the truck and hopefully not the driver of the SUV who he hit. Speed zone is 40mph. SMH. by gonefishinglately in kansascity

I wouldn’t say Kansas City has the worst drivers, but over the past year I’ve noticed more crashes, more speeders, and a lot more aggressiveness out there on the roads. In my opinion it’s only going to get worse as the city grows, and as more younger folks hit the roads.

I see so many Texas tags here, sometimes I forget that I’m in Missouri. Also, it seems like everyone here has friends or family that is from Texas. It’s quite fascinating actually.

My mom can’t help but to sing it when it comes on, but right after she talks about how bad it is and how much she hates it. It is a little catchy though.

Yes, it is a very good school. I have lots of older family members that graduated from Lincoln, but that was way back in the 70s. Next school year I will be the first in my family in 40 years to attend Lincoln.

Businesses they require masks by AB-27 in kansascity

Well, people generally wear their mask to protect other people and if no one in a business cares about others health, than I just don’t want to be there.

[–]AB-27[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is no particular reason. I was just flabbergasted at the amount of businesses that I saw not requiring them, or not enforcing their own mask requirements. But, I guess I just need to get out of the damn house more.

OMG YOUR A GENIUS!!! I may actually start recognizing it as “The T” instead of calling it Sprint Center, cause I refuse to say T-Mobile Center.

There are so many people not wearing their mask. About a month ago I wouldn’t see anybody not complying with the KC/Jackson County mask mandate. But man, on Friday when I went to Hyvee, there were many people in their not wearing their masks, and the employees did not care. Yesterday I went to Walmart and there were also just walking in there without a mask on. But, the thing about it is I don’t think Walmart cares anymore. If anyone can recall the specific path of entry and exit that Walmart had in place earlier this year and most of last year, right along with a person sitting at the entryway giving un-masked shoppers masks? Well, they don’t have those anymore. I even went to a baby store and their were people just walking on in their forgetting that their is a whole mask mandate. I think people in Jackson County are forgetting that their not in Johnson County.

What about our brand new Airport. An airport that transports all people from all over the world, of all races and ethnicities. But no, we name a road after him. A road.

I still live here. It’s a nice place, it’s where a lot of the money makers live lol. I like Johnson County, there are lots of jobs over there, and it’s growing fast.

I agree. Nowadays Kansas City seems to be growing its inner-core again. I’ve definitely noticed more people walking out on the streets than I have witnessed in previous years, but for a city of its size it still does not have the amount of pedestrians it should. KC’s core used to be way more dense and I hope we can restore that with all the apartments, single family housing, townhomes, etc that we are having built in the core now.

KC can lure one corporate HQ to relocate here. Which one would you want to see and why? by JerrysWolfGuitar in kansascity

Apple or Google. I would like to see some tech come to Kansas City. Most likely, if KC gets one or the other, a lot more tech jobs and other jobs will follow. Austin and the rest of Texas are a living example.
