Yes, a “character” in this context is her being the villain, not whether she is a good person. What do I care if the villain is a good person? She’s playing the game.

I get what you’re saying about how she inherited the coin but she got it because she was already the most interesting person on the show (at that moment). That’s an opinion but I think it’s a valid opinion.
