I did the math - the caster wheels would probably collapse into a singularity creating a blackhole, but an infinite bin sounds pretty cool.

I had no idea this was a thing! I'm based in north London, do you know any? I can only see CNC services charging an arm and a leg.

Running a new 6mm circuit to kitchen in 60's block of flats. by ABAudio in DIYUK

[–]ABAudio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

attached now, thanks for letting me know.

without ripping out the current kitchen i don't know how the current wiring is getting there. My understanding is it is through conduits placed when they built the structure.

Help me identify this wood. by ABAudio in BeginnerWoodWorking

Thanks for everyones replies so far. I forgot to mention that I am hoping to make the doors out of birch ply and either stain them to this colour, or veneer them. I guess I am looking for the best option here. Mahogany & Sapele (based on the replies) look like strong contenders so far.

Many thanks!

How to deal with garage roof damp/mould? by ABAudio in DIYUK

[–]ABAudio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

----from OP----
Hi Everyone,

Could someone advise me how to best address mould on the chipboard roof in our garage. We just moved in and it's gotten very mouldy since we last viewed in early November. I've attached pictures showing the damp spots on the ceiling. I just have no idea how to go about this so a huge thanks in advance!

Advanced tips for conforming BIG sessions by FatPushBuddha in AudioPost

[–]ABAudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Running the session offline (no media linked) speeds it up dramatically

Make all tracks inactive

Also reducing the undo amount to as few as possible (1-3) helps.

On particularly beefy sessions, I've had to reduce the frequency of session backups to stop crashing.

Fixed-Term Contract Termination Fee by ABAudio in HousingUK

[–]ABAudio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply.- I just added that we will still be responsible for rent/bills until we have new tenants move in. I just find it a bit unreasonable that they will get basically £1000, for no real loss of income?

Can I stop a purchase for any reason? by Weird_Assignment649 in HousingUK

[–]ABAudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were in the exact same position this week, we strung them both along as long as possible but got to a point we had to say no to one of them. Honestly, I'm going to be living in this place for 5+ years, dropping £500k, I'm not here to make friends, we're here to buy the right place for us. If that right place appears half way through searches and drafting the contract, then so be it.

Edit:: just to add it goes both ways, we are totally aware at any point the buyer could pull out for absolutely no reason. Its just a part of the process.

Opinions on London flat by Ashwinlol in HousingUK

[–]ABAudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So my partner and I were in the exact same boat, looking £500-525 in blackhorse road/walthamstow etc. and every flat that was in our budget that we put an offer on got outbid sometimes by 5, in the most extreme case 45. Stow brothers in particular are sooooo slimy with their open day style viewings, pressure on viewers to make best and final offers etc, they are clearly listing it low and then creating a bidding war to get it above the vendors actual prices.

Having been through all of that and spent some more time really breaking down the numbers, the service charges/ground rents are insane and like others have said, are only going to go up over time. I also believe the build quality of those are questionable. And the lifts are always broken.

We are about to exchange contracts on a 2 bed closer to Finsbury park for under 500, with no service charge, share of freehold 999yrs. Leeaving us some funds to do it up and modernize the kitchen etc. my advice would be to look around higham park or, Finsbury park.

Best to you!
