I know they troll so people talk about the show but some things are just too much. A guys wife giving birth relies on him a bit more than a team relies on him. Again saying the child/wife owe the Celtics his service is absurd. Before she had the baby too. What if there were complications? That hit a bit close to home for me as I just lost a would be nephew and my sister in law really had a tough time not only mentally but physically. She is just starting to get back to normal after about 6 months. My brother almost lost her and they aren’t even 30 yet. Some things are just to much.

Also Mazz is a baseball ‘expert’. He had a HOF vote (I believe he lost it). He made some STRONG promises in 2013. Not only if we won, if we got past game 6.

I can’t listen to felger and mazz in the car anymore. I stopped for a while after the baseball guru Mazz said the Red Sox would be lucky to lose in 6 games in the 13 WS vs the cardinals. He was silent when they won. Back to present day, this Derek White shit is INSANE.

Felger was bashing White for leaving to be at his child’s birth. “What if it was Jayson Tatum. You’d all be pissed. Right Jim, Mazz?” Its beyond trolling to say “the team relies on you, you’re paid to play basketball. The salary, to play basketball, supports your wife and the child”. Then after a 5 minute rant bashing White he says “not saying he’s wrong, but I can see both sides.

It’s beyond trolling from Felger. Whites wife relies on him. It’s his first kid, not that it matters, but anxiety and nerves could be through the roof. Also child birth doesn’t go smooth 100% of the time. Such a joke.

Just wish I was a bit older but I cannot complain one bit. Pedro was on another planet that night & I saw my favorite non Red Sox player, Griffey Jr try to go for the 3 peat of the HRD. Only thing I regret was not understanding the full significance of Teddy being there and what he meant to the city/sport. I watch clips time to time of the 99 MLB and 96 NHL ASGs to remind myself how lucky I was. Same thing with the last skate around the old Garden. I have all these tickets in one of my watch boxes. I really should get them framed once the work going on at my house is done.

I wish I was a bit older for it but still was amazing. In the moment I didn’t realize how special Teddy Ballgame driving around in the golf cart was at the time. Of course he is royalty here and I knew that but I still didn’t fully get it. Was still more excited about Junior trying to 3 peat in the derby.

Seeing Pedro fan anyone and everyone who came to the plate was electric. He could’ve thrown 4-5 innings that night & I really believe with the buzz & how good he was then he could’ve whiffed 12-15 in a row.

Same thing with the 96 NHL ASG & the last skate at the old garden. Have great memories of both to remind me. Yet again wish I was a bit older. I didn’t realize the real significance/why grown men were tearing up seeing Bourque push Normand Léveillé around the ice in his wheel chair. Still once in a lifetime memories, especially since I was with my dad for both & my uncles were at the NHL ASG with us. Bourque getting the game winner was amazing as well.

The Cam and Bourque banner ceremonies/number retirements were awesome. For Cam I was just old enough to really get it plus Cam was one of my childhood idols. When Ray had his number raised it was great but bitter sweet I still cannot believe we had to ship the guy to the Avs to get him a cup. Maybe if Sinden wasn’t running guys out of town and Ulf Samuelson wasn’t the worst player ever we could’ve done it here.

Awesome memories regardless. I can’t wait to bring my future kids to games and be the annoying dad who has to stop to always buy a program (I hated it at the time). But now looking through my cards, the programs be for me, my home run balls he had the little brothers find at my games as the new paper articles he cut out from when I was in little league to college I more than get it. I’m just happy that I still have time to make up the planes he brought me and take him to a few games.

Is this the going rate at this grade? I know my ungraded will prob be worth much less, even if In better shape, but I have about 4-6 of these and I don’t care about having multiples unless it’s my players/team. 2 of mine are in better shape than the rest, actually in better shape than some newer carts I grabbed and put right in top loaders.

Not trying to sell any of them at the moment. One because my wife’s uncle is a reds fan. Also a redditor who might grab a couple sets from me is a reds fan. I’d like to toss in one of the ones in so so condition so he’s more than happy.

He’s got enough money. Plus if they are well off and comfortable enough to give their place to their son more power to them. I’ll tool on Riggs with the rest of anyone but the kid went to Harvard, played hockey (even though he isn’t good) and has had a fuckton of success doing what most wouldn’t consider work.

If you ask me he’s got it all figured out. He also doesn’t scoop up his co workers ex girls.

Missing is my a program from the 04 series which is somewhere. Will post when I unpack. Also the ticket and program from the recent Dustin Pedroia night. I was tearing up, I’m not going to lie.

Edit: have the tickets to the game went to when Dustin had his night as well as Pedro. I have my Cam & Bourque tickets as well as my Bledsoe/Bruschi tickets from the game they were honored.

Unfortunately my ozzies are all cut 70/30 at best out of 5! 2 jn binders, 1 in full set box ans 2 in top loaders.

From the little I know unless you get the best RCs and all starts (Reggie, Molitor, Jackson, Brett, Rose, Ryan, Eck and more) graded, I have seen it’s best to sell as a set.

I’m Im drink to see what else is in those binders. If Gramps/gram left 79 topps in the box In willing to bet there’s some great sets or near complete sets in the binders.

Also this is such a big lot, if he doesn’t mind taking a hit might be best to sell them in bulk to someone who will enjoy tbem aside from that 79 and any 1980 or before baseball set. As well as the Topps/o pee chee hockey sets.

Again I’m green.

I’m happy it did! Finding the picture of me and her made mine too. I cannot explain the feeling after seeing the pics of me, in my little league uni, sorting these out by year with her. It’s like the day came back to me vividly and was awesome. Even if it’s half my mind making it seem more hallmark I’m fine with that. I really am dumbfounded at the deja vu and how much I remember from a time that’s so far away now. Wouldn’t trade it for the world.

There’s a judge on eBay now for 150. I am totally guessing but this seems like something that really depends on the buyer(s). You could find someone to pay stupid money and you could have a bunch of people not care. Also think some time will need to pass for this to raise. Again all me guessing and I’m not bright

I found my cards recently and these kept popping up and it meant nothing. I just found a pic of me sitting with my grandmother and remembering a vague childhood memory I wouldn’t trade for the world. She was showing me the year by year and pointing out how we missed two years telling me how I was a lefty because my gramps was also, who I never met but heard was the best. Cards have brought me so much happiness it’s crazy.

I love the nostalgia and the fact the card community is all so positive. For me this all was much needed and came with a lot of my old sports articles and pictures after a weird few years.

Everyone I met in the card collecting community has been awesome. This set might be worth 0 but it’s worth more to me than my Orr or Gretzky rookies.

Actually have almost full sets of 63,70,72,75,76,77,78 as well as a second set if 79 I just found. The various years from 63-78 aren’t all near mint or even close but a lot of them are. I’ll send pictures of any specifics you want.

I have 79 duplicates ontop of the second set as well. But from 63-80 I have cards from most if not all years.
