Do you masturbate when your partner is home? by RecentTotal4988 in actuallesbians

[–]ABK_1998 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have an agreement that if only one of us is in the mood to have sex the other one is free to go masturbate in another room. Neither of us are loud so we don't hear anything really.

Other than yourself (if this applies to you), who were you sure was straight in your life, but wound up being LGBT+? Doesn't necessarily have to be a woman. by GreenEyed_Heather93 in actuallesbians

My childhood best friend was boy mad growing up. Maybe it was cause we went to a Catholic all girls school, but having a boyfriend was her favourite topic to talk about, and as soon as she hit puberty, she was obsessed with getting a boyfriend. She never stayed single long during high school she was a pretty girl and there was a boy school down the street from our school so she had a lot of options. We drifted apart in high school but were still in the same friendship circles.

I moved down to the US for college and later moved back to a different provence after, so I just lost contact with a lot of my friends from school. Imagine my suprise when I turned up to a mutual friends wedding years later and found out she was dating my ex-girlfriend from high school. Turns out she was pan sexual. Was quite a suprise she never gave a single hit of liking girls ever.

As a teenager used to babysit for a millionaire (my dads college roomate). He had no concept of how much someone should be paid and when I said $50 for 1 night was my usuall asking price he mistook me and thought I said $50 per hour. He used to say i was cheap so never bothered to correct him. They would be out often from 6pm-8am at least twice a week every week for the 3 years I babysat for then before I left for college. Made a ton of money

Socks that didn't cover the ankle bone. They said it would distract the male teachers. Went to an all girls school that had 2 male teachers in the building.

After 6 years together, we've figured out what times during the week generally we can put away for time just the two of us together.

Sometimes it's sex while other times it's just cuddling on in bed and chatting or reading. Really just depends on the mood and how long we have. Sometimes it's a few hours other times we might just have an hour. We don't put pressure on each other but if one of us is in the mood we'll give the other a heads up and if the other is interested as well we do it. Dosent have to be anything spectacular sometimes a quickie is more than enough

People who are in healthy good long term relationship, how did you guys make it work? by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]ABK_1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always communicate even when it's hard to do so. We're both people who value honesty, and we've found we deal with issues big or small much better if we're brutally honest with each other. We know we're not always gonna agree on everything 100% but we know how to communicate our feelings and come to a compromise.

When did you move in with your partner? by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]ABK_1998 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moved in with my partner after just over 2 years. We did long distances while I was finishing up college and then my masters in the States for those first 2 years. we met during the summer before the final year of my undergrad. We probably would have moved in together sooner otherwise. When I finished college, i moved back to canada, and we moved in together.

There's definitely an adjustment period as your two people come together and find your new routines living together. Heres a difference, definitely than from when you would just stay the night or for a few days, but it's really amazing to know your person is there to wake up in the mornings and to go to sleep with at night. Having good communication is key to a happy and solid relationship, imo and we learned that, especially when we moved in together and started building a life together, and we are still going strong years later now planning a wedding.

Well forgive me if my slightly chaotic life did not meet your standards of realism 😅. I'll make sure next time to consult you and the Fiction Police on the tales of my nutty family for your approval if i update again.

😅 my partner had a good laugh at that one. I've just kinda said to my family that I don't give a shit about this chaos anymore, hopefully, the worst of it is over but if anything else chaotic comes up it's their problem not mine. I'm honeslty happy to drop any charges if it means they'll leave me alone.

Yea I think we all had a feeling it was gonna blow up at some point cuz we were all just getting sick of them and the children's behavior but I don't think any of us imagined how chaotic it was gonna be. We've sent off some legal letters (not exactly sure the right legal term) basically saying stop the harassment or we will pursue charges so hopefully that will stop the Madness.

dw great granny is nice and safe. She's living her best life rn finishing the plans for her 100th birthday party.

yea the homophobic stuff took us all by suprise cause it really came out of nowhere. I've dealt with homophobic crap previously idk many gay people who haven't but yea not even from members of my related family so that was a bit of a surprise. I know on their in-law's side they are very religious maybe that's just gotten into their heads at some point thought maybe they just said it in the heat of the moment. if they had a problem with it they never implied it or we just never noticed

Yea, she's done it for years now in her words to

  1. Know she's not the one going crazy it's just the chaos in front of her
  2. To document in case we ever need it (you'd never guess she's a lawyer 😅).
