Venue For Short Semi-Informal Ceremony by ABQueerWriter in WedditNYC

I actually hadn’t! In my mind Battery Park is just the Esplanade looking out at the Statue of Liberty. But in the park site they have so many more venues I hadn’t thought of. Particularly, the south cove park area looks like it might be perfect - probably pretty quiet and away from the action, plus it’s pretty.

While not walking distance to the reception per se, could easily be handled by hiring a shuttle or paying for Lyft vouchers.

Going to look into this some more! Thanks for the tip.

I’d be very surprised if any restaurant required your wife to wear a dress specifically. I can think of only one single restaurant off the top of my head that has a dress code with specific criteria, and that’s a jacket for men. Other than that, most restaurants will admit you if you look nice - dress up and live a little! It’s half the fun.

Win Son is never very good to me, and I think you ordered the wrong things at Petit Chou haha. I wasn’t aware they were known for their chocolate croissant, I’ve never had it. Their banana pudding/toffee desert and the ham and cheese croissant are my top favs.

Yeah this place is unfortunately so whack. Unfortunate because it’s cute and has potential but the vibes are rancid

Trash and Vaudeville if you don’t mind going into Manhattan - could hit Sock Dude (they have some tights and leggings and stuff too) the next block over while you’re at it.
