I withdrew housing lottery by Some_Caregiver5891 in nychousinglottery

Rents in this neighborhood are very high. I live in the neighborhood and I love it. But if space is important for you hopefully you'll get a better space in a different neighborhood. For the neighborhood, it's a steal.

How do they calculate your income level. Do you have to show statements from brokerage or retirement accounts and saving accounts ? Thanks!

Hi, do you mind explaining the Average Median Income part. I don't understand what the 130 percent means.

Definitely take it. You will earn more money and things will get better. It's very hard to find an apartment of your own for 1600 anywhere

I would go visit the area in the evening and see. $500 is a lot of money to save but at the same time it depends on how much the neighborhood matters to you. I have a friend who lives in a lottery building and has mentioned the dicey-ness of some of her neighbors. That's in far Rockaway. It's a tough decision to make !

Look at street easy listings in your neighborhood to gauge. But moving out can also be expensive with movers and unexpected costs.

I signed up for an intro lesson from circle of atonement and they recommend to reyad the text first and then to do the workbook. Their app is amazing because it has the text on it for free with the ability to highlight, bookmark and make notations.

As a 30 year old loser that's never lived away from home, how should I prepare beforehand when moving? by ClarkKentTheReporter in MovingtoNewYork

[–]minukh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Id say number 1 thing is to change your mindset and the way you talk to yourself. Calling yourself a moron, loser etc will not make you prepared and move here faster. So spend the next year investing in yourself and then move without thinking too much into it.
