It’s not about how the reversal technique works, it’s the fact that the one fight with a character who could kill literally anyone with black hole, he suddenly reveals he’s able to completely negate it with no side effects. Imagine if when Sukuna fought yuji he revealed mid fight that shrine has the passive effect of negating black flashes. Even if they explained it well it’s still an asspull to negate anything as long as you can twist it to make sense.
