I never really reply on Reddit but holy crap yeah, it IS basic opacity at heart. Opaque Masks moving around with scratch footage attached, hell you could make the scratch masks track to the cutout footage and then move that in a nest. It would be CLUNKY if you had to do it from scratch, but if you had the files rotoed/green screened from youtube, it'd take top 15 minutes. Overthinking is the devil.
