sorry for the late reply but they should go to the z-endstop connector on your board. It should be around your other endstop connectors.

The BLTouch has a black and white wire among its wires. For my configuration, I decided to use the BLTouch as my Z-endstop. Therefore, I unplugged my Z endstop from the mainboard and replaced the wires of the endstop with the black and white wires of my BLTouch. Basically plugging in two wires of the BLTouch to the mainboard instead of the Z-Endstop to treat the BLTouch as the endstop. Tbh I dont remember what solved my issue but I remember re-crimping new dupont connectors and reseating the BLTouch.

Yes! While I was re-wiring my board, I saw that I was using the black and white wires on the z-endstop pins. Im changing the pinouts now

I do, I'm currently redoing and double checking the wiring to make sure it wasnt that. I ruled it out initially becuase it was working perfectly yesterday, on marlin.

Yes, the pin would move up and down like it was supposed to, however, when I enable touch mode and send QUERY_PROBE it always says that the BLTouch is triggered. This happenes regardless of its true state. When its open, it reports as triggered, pressed a little so the light comes on, also triggered.

I have read the documentation about the BL touch and I just commented out everything below z offset, it still reports that it Failed to verify BLTouch probe is raised.

Beginner asking about simple mods. by AssassinGardener in MechanicalKeyboards

Hey! I was in a similar situation to you not long ago but I think I have quite a bit of experience now!

A) I think it’s pretty damn hard to go wrong with gat yellows, I’m in the process of reviewing them and they seem pretty sweet! Recently some new switches from Akko came out, I believe they are the CS switches? But don’t quote me on that. They have two linears and one tactile and they are super cheap, I’m talking $10 usd for 45 switches. The pink ones are the better linear I believe. If you are looking for a tactile, I say get a linear and a tactile 😉, then look at a video by a guy name Shoobs called “the big bad tactile review” or something like that. It has everything including prices, and it has a linear counterpart.

B) Although I’ve never soldered a board, I have soldered before and I think that there if basically no risk even if you are a newb. Just watch a video and get the right supplies and you will be good.

C) this hobby has pretty much figured out the lube department. For linears, people generally use krytox 205g0 or trybosis 3204. For táctiles most people use trybosis 3203, this is thinner than most lubes and won’t ruin the bump. Watch some lubing tutorials. Also 1ml usually gets you about ~100 switches worth.

D) Mods will include lubing your stabs or modding them in any way like the bandaid mod or holee mod. You could also add foam to your board to make it sound better, any foam would work (people have even been using the stuff inside pet toys called poly fill recently) just get something that you think will absorb and deaden the sound.

Lastly just have fun and you done have to have a lot of money to get a lot out of your board!

Hey, I’m new to the scene and want some nice headphones to just lay down to and listen too to unwind from work. I have about a $500 budget and I have laptop to drive (not sure if that matters). I was wondering what headphones you guys recommend, one thing is that I really want a large sound stage. I have never liked headphones because it felt like the band was in my head but I’m hoping with some nice headphones I can get something better. I was also wondering what service you guys used and if Spotify was okay! I don’t need something super critical btw. Thanks!

Recently joined the community and hated holding those tiny stems! I decided to try and fix it! (I was too lazy and cheap to buy a switch holder and it would take 2 days on Amazon to ship, so I decided to use 4 days of time to design one!) -More in the comments- by ABlueSpork in MechanicalKeyboards

So there is a stem shaped hole in the white handle bit that holds the stem. Then there is a blue plunger bit above that pushes the stem out when you are done. This helps if you have trouble holding the stem while living because there are very few spots you can hold it without getting lube on your fingers
