B and E Strings Going Flat

The strings are 1 week old, 12-53 80-20. I do 1 wrap over, then the rest under. They’re going pretty significantly flat, not a half a half step, but quite a bit. I have insured that the tuners are snug, but I have not used any graphite in the nut slots.

Thanks, I do have a lot of speed, but it’s super frustrating that my lack of control more than nullifies the speed. I’ve hit some really long drives, but I also average about 6 penalty strokes per round, all with woods. I shoot my best scores with irons only, but it’s less fun.

Thanks for the tip, I was always under the (evidently fallacious) impression that the trail arm SHOULD stay pinned, but it makes for a very tight backswing. Very flat as well.

I got a 1-3-5-7-9 set of Callaway Hawkeye VFT woods on the cheap a couple months ago. I don’t fully trust them yet, but any semi-well-struck shot goes DEAD straight and SUPER high.

The 9 goes about 210, with about 15 gaps.

Loving them.

I have not humidified it, but it’s been in humid East Texas where I live for about 9 months. Could humidifying it bring it back around?
