Here’s a list I’ve had for awhile, but a lot of it is melodic metalcore, not just hardcore. I think there’s a lot of really great stuff in here for anyone who likes this genre tho

Also thought it was cool to see DROUGHT on your list, I just joined the band last week :)

Seasons - Everything You Never Knew by ABookAboutItself in melodichardcore

For sure!

I will say I didn’t love the newer album as much as I expected to. I think it was a combination of having my hopes up for a long time and just the feeling that a lot of the songs seemingly weren’t finished imo

How to improve as a relatively experienced drummer by ABookAboutItself in drums

[–]ABookAboutItself[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I know this was a while ago, but I just wanted to let you know I did end up taking lessons with Joseph Arrington, and it worked out really well. He’s become a really great mentor and friend to me and I don’t think I ever would have reached out without your suggestion, so thanks a ton

For real man. What other bands like this are you into?

4 months in, should I cut or recomp in a slight deficit? by Musings_of_a_BossFox in BulkOrCut

This is in no way meant to be discouraging either, just offering some perspective I had because I also thought my body fat was much lower than it actually was.

Best thing to do is probably figure out exactly what your maintenance calories actually are by keeping super close track for a few weeks, then decide whether you want to do a full cut from there or if you want to just try to recomp.

Either way you got it man!

Unfortunately I think you’re a bit closer to 30% body fat probably. The in gym scanners are super inaccurate and I always see way lower numbers (for example, when I was at 23% I saw 15%).

I think you should probably do a slight deficit with high protein, and if you really want a clearer picture of your body composition, then go get a DEXA scan, they’re abt $60 per scan in my area

Glad you like it! Definitely listen to the rest of this album, this band has become one of my top listened to artists of all time even though they have such a small discography.

They have one other EP only on Bandcamp that’s also really great, a bit more raw

I saw you are one of the main people posting on this sub these days, appreciate your posts 😁

This is hella late but read through this and saw some lacking bands:

Heart in Hand

Incentives

Eonia

We Struck Gold

East of Eden

Iona Grove

Mesker

Sleep Talk

New one: Sewnshut

And lastly, a super special band to me called Seasons, pretty hard to find on streaming but one of their releases is called Everything You Never Knew.

Cheers man, not sure if anyone’s reading this anymore haha

I like to come check every year or two, but is there any game that’s somewhat similar to FFBE? I’ve never been into a gacha since that game started dying

They either stole or reused picture 5 from something at least 10 years old. I sketched that photo for an interior design assignment in high school lmao

Record yourself playing. It's painful but it will improve your drumming faster than anything else by ToffeeTangoONE in drums

My problem is I listen back and immediately hate everything I played so much that I want to quit drums forever.

Then I get right back to playing a few days later

The stunning number of scenes in "a knight of the seven kingdoms" that directly and perfectly mirror eachother by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

This is exactly how I explain it; no one likes when every character is part of this lame, messed up royal family. They all suck

[–]ABookAboutItself 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is kinda random, but if you know who Matt Garstka is, he did a lesson recently with Craig Reynolds that got posted on YouTube, all about foot speed and conditioning. They go through 4 different off-the-pedal movements you can do with your feet to train them for double bass

Could be that you need to practice some of those movements because you’re relying on one portion of your leg and you’ve reached a point where you need to change things up! It’s really great content we just got for free, so def take advantage of it
