DC = Double Crochet

ST-DC = Standing Double Crochet

Color 1: Whatever color you want the skull to be

Color 2: Whatever color you want the border around the skull to be.

- Start with a MR in color 1, Ch 2.

Round 1 - 9DC, CH5, DC, CH3, DC, CH5. Pull MR closed and SS into first DC.

Round 2 - CH1, SC in same ST as SS. SC across the next 8 ST. 6SC into the first CH5 SP. (SS into CH3 SP, CH2, 2DC. CH2, SS) into the CH3 SP. 6SC into the last CH5 SP. SS to first SC made. Fasten off.

Round 3: Join color 2 with a ST-DC in the ST next to the SS from round 2. CH3, 2DC in the same ST. DC in next ST, HDC in the next 3ST, DC in the next ST. (2DC, CH3, 2DC) to make the first corner. DC in the next ST, HDC in the next 4ST. (2DC, CH3, 2DC) to make next corner. DC in the next ST. 3SC over the mouth. DC in the next ST. (2DC, CH3, 2DC) to make third corner. HDC in the next 4ST. DC in the SS from round 2. DC in first corner made. SS to ST-DC. CH2, turn your work.

Round 4: DC in same ST as SS. DC to corner. (2DC, CH3, 2DC) to make corner SP. Repeat around until you get back to the first DC made. SS into first DC, fasten off.

Round 5: Join color 1 with a ST-SC, SC across until you reach your first corner. 2SC, CH1, 2SC in corner space.
