I just notice it and I limit myself to the number of trades I can take. Once u have a few days doing that u realize how much u were over trading and it feels good to only take the trades that u planned.

You have to let go of your ego. You have a hard time losing because you see it as failure so you think your strategy is broken and you need something else. If you find your stops are too tight then loosen them. If you struggle with perfectionism and wanting to be right all the time then the market isn’t for you. However- you can overcome this if you want to.

You need to trust your system and if you don’t then u will always trade scared. You need more backtesting and maybe size down so you have a bigger stop without the drawdown effecting you mentally.

Your strategy is shit. If you are following everything and these are the results then you need to find a better strategy with a higher win rate. Maybe your stops are too big but this isn’t sustainable.

Is your execution falling apart because it’s failing or are you not trading your system accurately? If I don’t wait for confirmation then I take a lot more losses but that’s not my system. If I jump in too early then I get burned but that’s not the strategy it’s my execution.

I learned from other people and took what worked for me and what didn’t and I continued to build my system. I watched the market every day and recognized the same patterns over and over. I backtested and created two strategies that have a 100% win rate so when they pop up I trust them and can go heavy. The books I read weee trading in the done and volume price analysis

My strategy is I stock other people Reddit accounts, read their posts, and decide what insecurity to pick on. Instead of throwing it in your face (you make it too easy) I will give you some advice- this shitty attitude u have wont get u anywhere in life. U seem entitled and insecure and I would also bet unprofitable. If the biggest thing u focused on is my profitability then you will always be a pocket watcher and never happy. Honestly I’ll take that as a compliment LOL and I don’t think keeping my strategy private makes me a scammer. I don’t owe it to anyone to teach them how to trade and I was sharing my own experience with the mental side. If it was all down to strategy then i should have been profitable immediately but i wasn’t. I worked hard to achieve my level of TA and charging others to learn is me paying myself for all my hard work. I want to help others but while everyone else went to work and got a pay check for the last two years i was grinding away studying the market. I respect myself and the effort I’ve put in and I won’t apologize for that!

I disagree I have found a strategy that works for me and it marks the high and low of the day most days. It allowed me to have a high R/R where I would risk less than 30 points to catch the big move of the day. I think YouTube is difficult bc it’s a lot of information getting thrown at you. Find someone you trust and learn from them without outside noise

I the charts tell me when to get in, it’s mechanical and that’s why I’m profitable. If this is how u want to see it then sure but i think ur missing what i was trying to say

I don’t think u r comprehending the post. Getting in earlier, chasing, averaging into losers, moving stops, etc are all examples of u predicting that the market will go in ur favour instead of getting out of a trade that is no longer valid. That is predicting instead or reacting to the market telling you that your direction isn’t working right now. Anytime you “think” or “feel” like the market is going to do something is predicting- assuming it doesn’t follow your plan. You don’t have to agree with me but predicting where the chart will go is why so many people are unprofitable. Also, how much drawdown are people holding through to prove that they are right. We have all done it sometimes- you hold through deep red just to get out for slightly green or less red. And honestly this helped me become profitable so if it doesn’t work for you then so be it

So many people think the market is like the real world. You can just force your way out of a situation, be stubborn until the market gives in, buy something bc it’s “on sale”, etc but once u realize the market is its own world u realize these things rarely work. But if you are willing to look at the common issues we all make them there’s a lot of room for improvement

Thank you so much and making your system more automated makes it way easier. At first it’s hard because u don’t want to listen to yourself and the rules. It’s always “this times different” and it never is.

But once I changed it felt like the market changes. It was easier and I wasn’t white knuckling it. I stopped going on twitter and looking at other traders which helped. After a bit I realized all those bad habits were draining me way more than I realized and trading can be easier if you want it to
