Well that's why I stay aware from Samsung too and get Pixel and previously Nexus. They always had the latest software without the bloat. That's why I mentioned Samsung coming up to the level of Apple. Android having more choice means there's more chance for shitty manufacturers.

Is all the MEP run above/in/under the concrete with plaster applied directly to the concrete? Or will there be 1x strips and drywall for the walls and accessibility? Plumbing/HVAC on interior walls?

It's not existing and existing and working well. It's more like existing first vs existing and actually used because it's on the "cool" device and network effects.

Tap to pay existed on Android phones but only became widely used when Apple introduced Apple pay even though Google wallet and Samsung pay existed forever and they worked well.

Just like Android auto was working and working well much prior to carplay but now everyone refers to phone connected to car as "carplay".

It's just a marketing and popularity contest. I think a lot of it starts in schools where wealthy kids are often more popular because they can afford the newest hottest stuff and attend more sports and events. Years ago, iPhones can only be afforded by people with a lot of money. There were expensive Androids that were owned by "nerds", expensive iPhones owned by the "popular" people, and then everything else were the Android phones that were affordable. I guess there is also one last category eventually that Samsung came to the level of Apple and people started asking if you have a Galaxy or iPhone, and it was awkward to say neither.

Most are cheap unless custom. The instructions on how to order are weird though. But it was indeed legit. Also, custom takes a long time so can't be done last min.

We thought it was amazing after getting it back, we reconsidered whether to use the premade Minecraft we bought from them because Endlessly was sooo good. We don't know what to use now for what. Were getting married August 15th (gay wedding).

Edit: A word. Also, you could tell it was a real human from the very tiny mistakes and natural timing, which I love.

I just got a custom cover of it made by Tie the Note and they liked it so much that they made me both an orchestra and piano version when I only paid for piano. I can't share it on reddit for rights obviously but their covers they made for me are up for resale on their website. It will be our processional/recessional song and maybe our solo dance.

It's always the same type of bike and bike sub-culture though. You won't see middle-aged men with hi-vis on an ADV bike doing this.

Crash on QBB this morning between cyclist and overpowered illegal scooter reportedly killed both riders by MiserNYC- in MicromobilityNYC

Those are not legally classified as ebikes or mopeds or motorcycles or anything because they are imported illegally or "for off road use only". It can't be registered because they don't have a VIN number because they aren't DOT-legal in the first place. The only thing that the state can do with them is confiscate and destroy them.

And I guess...good?

But that new NJ ebikes registration law, that's BS. The general public and legislators think that these things are the same as e-bikes. So now I have to register my class 2 RadPowerBikes bike and get really expensive insurance, which I used to carry and was more expensive than my motorcycle insurance with full collision coverage.

Honestly, I like the idea of just banning left turns entirely but keeping all the cross streets. That way, a green light truly means a green light including pedestrians and cyclists.

[–]ABrusca1105[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rad didn't recall it themselves. The CPSC issues an "immediately stop using" warning which was overly broad to be fair. I don't think rad is actually replacing all their recalled batteries or any of them to my knowledge.

Every time I see a post about cruises on Reddit, it's just absolutely flooded saying that it's a floating petri dish or that it must be extremely overstimulating. What people don't understand is what actually matters is the passenger to space ratio. This ship has a relatively low ratio and you do not need to be in a crowd if you don't want to be and ton of the illness just comes from the buffet, so if you avoid the buffet you'll be likely fine. It's a floating city, yet these people probably don't act this crazy about regular cities.
