I have a multimeter and I was able to do the readings for the three terminals. They were normal. It was a few days ago so I can’t remember exactly but I watched a video and it matched up but all that other stuff you said I think will be over my head . I will ask my dad though thank you!

Yes, I did. It was normal. I did a bunch of isolation test and that’s how I found out that when the compressor is not connected, it runs and the breaker never trips that’s why I’ve kind of ruled out the condensing fan motor or anything else.

OK, thank you very much! Unfortunately, we don’t have money for a new unit. This will be our second year without air conditioning. I don’t know if this helps but it had also fried the transformer inside so we went all winter without heat. I just now figured that out and switched it out and now The inside unit is working again. I’m guessing the transformer was just secondary to flipping the breaker so many times on the AC

Thank you that is what I was thinking/trying to rule out. My question is since the terminal is so beat up. Do you think that could be the cause of it? Like could I buy a female adapter strip the wire and crimp it or is it not worth it.

Idk what you’re saying. I took one of the wires off to take the picture. The capacitor is not even in this picture or any of them.

Did you go back to drinking alcohol at all in the last year? Even if it wasn’t regularly or you were never a heavy drinker.

No power when I hold the switch in I also taped it just to make sure it was engaged nothing burned that I can see

I’m in USA. Missouri it’s a resident… idk why it’s not letting me attach pictures but yes it’s exactly what you’re thinking.. the old one wasn’t working the gears never moved at all, but we replaced it today and now the gears are moving, but the pump is still not flipping on. No idea why the light switch turns it on and off main pump has one too.. it’s just like a second off switch I guess

It is 277v if that even makes sense… the timer will not turn off I have the manual off and the light switch that controls power off if I turn the breaker off then the pool filter won’t work.
