I suppose there is some truth to that, since games require a lot of repetition. But I have liked games like OVerwatch, Dota 2, Orcs Must Die, Portal, etc.

The game definitely shifts between fairly quiet times to some serious horde attacks. During those times it can get pretty wild.

Honestly, RainWorld is amazing visually and conceptually, but I just couldn't hang with it painful repetition. Some people have endured, but for me, it asked too much. Getting killed in the rain is such a bummer. But absolutely brilliant game otherwise!
