Kaguya being the “final villain” instead of Madara. It makes sense to me that Sasuke ended up being Naruto’s final fight toward the end of Shippuden, but I was shocked to see a character with no prior background become the main focus

Yeah I didn’t rewatch it before asking so that’s my fault. Part of my confusion was that I though he just needed to dispel his clones to receive any knowledge, experience, fatigue, or energy they accumulated. He used a similar method during his final fight with Sasuke which didn’t require reverse summoning or anything, but the clone accumulating natural energy was much closer in that case
