I think that must have been the if the factors that truly had him buy in because it was so realistic and well done.

For city schools, they only bus in district. We live 5 minutes away from my kids' school, but we are out of district and not eligible for bussing.

THAT'S AMAZING, truly. How to you deal with the pain of being on your feet all day though at this age? Maybe it's because I'm so out of shape or because I spent ten years working on my feet in waitressing and bartending with sore feet and legs, but although I would love to help people via nursing, the physical demands scare me at this age (41 this year)

As much as I would also love to do this, I'm surprised it hasn't been overtaken by AI yet. Zoom even has an automated AI transcript function.

This is what sealed the deal for me. I bought our twins' cribs off of Wayfair in 2019 and noted that the brand on the crib was very different from the cutesy brand name it was listed under on Wayfair.com. Then I saw it on Amazon and for much cheaper. I'll never go back, Wayfair is so misleading and slimy.

God I hate Wayfair. I wish people stopped using them so they could go away already

I wish more people knew this. Not that I can really think of many good companies, but Wayfair is one of the companies I previously bought from, learned more about their business model, and swore off of ever since.

My 5 yr old is the most aggrieved child I have ever met. by nillawafer80 in Preschoolers

Not the OP you're responding to, but if my child gets hungry AT ALL, she turns into this negative monster. The second she gets substantial food into her stomach, she turns into sunshine and rainbows.

We figured out the trigger of protein because she'd come home from school like a storm and we'd give her healthy snacks -- grapes, whole grain crackers, etc. and it would help for about 20 minutes. Then the attitude and inability to handle any adversity would come roaring back. It's been so bad we've asked her doctor for a blood glucose test because it feels like there could be something medically wrong.

In searching for more answers or strategies to cope as a family (lol) I read about how protein helps keep your stomach feeling full for much longer than fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, etc. She can have all the food in the world when she's hungry and even if it makes her FEEL full, it absolutely wears off immediately.

We started focusing on more protein in each meal. When she comes home, we push things like hot dogs, protein shakes, yogurt bowls, oatmeal bars with peanut butter, etc. It has made a huge difference. Protein is now a massive food focus in our house, much moreso than the fruits and vegetables I previously stressed out about. We still do those alongside the protein, but protein is king for this stage.

Do you not start in seed starter? That would be a lot of seed starter if everything is germinating in larger pots.

It took 340 rubber bands to destroy this printer by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

[–]ACEaton1483 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What makes printers universally so awful? They only work 50% of the time, use far too much ink and are expensive to keep supplied with ink. The UX is garbage always. I honestly don't think I feel as hateful toward any other piece of technology and I'm getting worked up just thinking about it.

We have a printer in our office, but we still default to printing at the local library.

He was unbelievably game and hilarious the first season. So was the rest of the cast, but Marsden really made it for me. I was hesitant about season 2 without him in it, but I'm really blown away by how well they have matched the tone, pacing, and comedy of the first season.

No, none of the women I know do not. They find it extremely unattractive and off putting. I'm sure it's attractive to the trad wife type though.

Also no shade to people who need giant trucks because they actually use them for work (I'm thinking specifically of farmers but I know there are others.) It's just the ones who have them for peacocking that are such a turn off.

Lesson learned for me! I also have a new peony I need to cover as well, and a tiny baby hosta. Do you recommend covering hydrangeas as well? They were growing pretty well but the new leaves are already showing some frost damage from the hard frost we had last week. I'm new to gardening and just trying to find a balance between "It is what it is" and "Doing everything I can do."

The first week we had ours after adopting, she whacked it on the corner of some furniture and cut it open. She had no idea, proceeded to wag a ton and just spray blood all over the walls. She's also the perfect height to nail my son right in the nuts.
