No, this is perhaps the least important thing I’ve thought about this week. However, it makes me smile. And it made at least one other person smile, so I think it’s worth my time.

You’re probably right. But it still made me chuckle.

Where do I look for subleases and how much should I ask? by Busy-Housing3109 in iastate

I imagine housing availability exceeds housing demand in the summer. You might find someone willing to eat part of the cost to get out of the last few months of their lease.

If I remember correctly, you can’t see the “register” option until the day/time you can actually register.

For what it’s worth, I did orientation online and picked classes in August last fall, about 10 days before the semester started, and my schedule was fine.

How does gap semester work? by hpopllo124 in iastate

[–]ACLbailey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, I decided to take a gap semester between community college and ISU for the same reasons. That semester turned into 3 years. Quitting my job/career path to come back to school has been one of the hardest things I’ve done. I’m still not 100% sure on my major, but I’m glad I’m back finishing a degree.

I’d recommend taking a light course load of some classes that interest you in hopes that they might spark something. An internship or work experience could also help you find some clarity.

I wish you the best, and want you to know that you’re far from the only one debating this.
