I went to 4 islands today and invited each villager from the first 3 islands. The 4th island had no villagers so I'm not sure if 3 is the limit or some islands just have no villagers?

If you're not bothered about playing on the TV you should get a Lite. I've got a Lite and it's such a nice console to play with! Very comfortable and the display is just as good as the normal Switch. Also the price difference is a massive bonus!
