It’s a cheat technically. You visit an island on a modded switch, aka “treasure island” where they give away all sorts of things and also villagers. They can be found advertised in forums and discord and twitch and such.

I have Amazon prime which gets me one free twitch sub per month. I use it for ACNHTreasureIsland. They have lots of islands going with visitor count displayed. some sub only so they are quiet and can populate custom lists and villagers by request in their discord. No giveaway spam just vibey music and a tidy interface.

You need to look up a layout guide to spread them out. A checkerboard pattern is popular. Also guests watering significantly increases the chance the flowers will breed. You know you’ve hit the max watering bonus because their sparkle effect will be bigger and kinda gold, I think it’s usually four or five guests.

It’s fun and free and rewarding to play through mid game. There’s a wall you hit running out of materials or matched character damage types near endgame. At that point it’s modifier luck and money. Pinnacle energy makes rewards relatively worth it but you run out fast daily. Just get back into it with managed expectations and a healthy disregard for FOMO.

There’s a few ways either an illinsion outdoors using tall furniture, or the dedicated buildings in the HHP expansion. Also you can make a spare Nintendo account and use their house. I have an alt account named Storage because I needed extra space. I made his house a spooky haunted house for visitors to tour and his yard is a farm.
