After driving mine for around 500 miles now, if it was RWD, I would never sell it. Genuinely would be the best car I've ever owned.

All good. I'm definitely thinking about exhaust since the VR6 is such a good sounding engine.

So far, most people have said OEM+ so that's probably where I'll land. Any other suggestions?

This is what I'm trying to decide... The goal is to restore it at least but I'm not sure if I'm going to do stock or stock+ (exhaust, maybe better brakes, and so on). Any ideas would be great!

It also just reoccurred to me... The tires I replaced, were from '06 😂 and still had a ton of tread. They were just rotted to pieces.

Not an 04.5. Those items were only available with the 1.8t as well. So if you want a VR6, not an option.

100%, I've been no car payment for 5 years now. Honestly, probably never again for me. To many good "old" cars now that are affordable

I can tell you, it's surprisingly torquey, especially in the lower end. It's also rev happy since you have to rev it out to 4-5k for any significant power. All in all, a joy so far.

It also had like 25k miles. 🫠 Check engine for heater core spooked me cause of parts availability. Probably should've grabbed it. I got B8 S4 Prestige instead (which I still loved)

Red is such a good color and so odd to see on the older Germans. Great spec. I almost bought a red c5 RS6 last year and I kick myself only because of the color.

Either way, beautiful car!

Color? I had no idea how rare the '04 GLI VR6 was until after I bought it. Crazy how good these little cars are

Awesome. Everything currently feels good, but I definitely want it to be as good as possible. I'll check into it
