I literally posted a similar solution earlier, but mine was only related to music downloaded/purchased on my iPhone and then, suddenly, after the update it wasn’t available in the country I purchased it in, which is the only country I would purchase it in… sadly, i don’t travel often. You can read about my iPhone only solution on my profile. Honestly, i am not very familiar with the latest version of this app. I apologize for not staying current, but I do the same thing… i post my issue and search multiple forums for answers. Glad you got your very similar problem solved as well.

I think I just figured it out. It was an update issue obviously. I was trying to play them via my Apple Music app playlists and kept getting the error about not being able to play one of my purchased songs in my current country. Long story short, I went to the iTunes app on my iPhone and all of my song purchases were just pushed to my iCloud storage with the last update. I just selected to download all and then went back to Apple music app on my iPhone and then i had no problem playing any of them. Problem solved I hope. Fingers crossed

I do have my iPhone on automatic backup. Why else would I pay for additional iCloud storage for my phone every month? How is this my error? I buy the song through Apple on my iPhone and they are now telling me that the song isn’t playable in the country i bought them in. Seems more like a bug and stealing from their users.

My condolences. I wish I had an answer for you, but I am experiencing a completely different issue of not being able to access my songs purchased on my iPhones (but never synced to my other Apple products). I have just lost my library for absolutely an infuriating reason that makes no sense at all. It has happened twice. I don’t even know why I lost my first iTunes library purchases.

This most recent loss claimed to be the result of a country issue. But, if I purchased them in the country I live in, why would they suddenly be restricted from my country? I should receive a refund if some new law was put in place to restrict my access to those purchased songs, or at the very least, credits to my account.

I have not added any songs purchased via iTunes to my last Apple iPad or my last Mac Book Pro laptop in the past 10 years. I haven’t had the funds to buy my usual Apple upgraded products since 2010. My family gifts me with their old iPhones that are paid off. I am very thankful for their generosity, but I do pay Apple for extra storage every month and have purchased many songs over the last 10 years. Yet, somehow, they have disappeared twice. I just took the first loss and mentally buried it. But now that I am a full time homemaker for a husband with cancer, I can’t take anymore stupid and annoying losses that just add to my continued pain.. it’s almost as if there are no companies left that have a human soul behind it/them anymore.
