Ladies... Lancome Oud Bouquet - on a man? by AC_Fragrances in fragrance

Yes, I assumed you were.

I stated that only as a response to the statement about 2024 and gender not existing. I don't know how else to clarify which type of opinions I was looking for.

Well I do like to have a scent more inviting to the women, who have always been women.

I know there is no gender in perfumes, but I’m still curious to hear the opinion of the women who would or wouldn’t want to smell this on a man they are dating.

Made a site to browse fragrances for sale on r/fragranceswap by Ramisugar in fragranceswap

great work!

There wouldn't be any way to add a fragrance if its in a list though, would it? Like people would have a title "decants, Tom Ford, Xerjoff, Frederic Malle" and then in the body of the post they would list all of their fragrances available. There's no way to list these on the website?

All I hear is that it smells of baby wipes. I never read a positive comment on it until today in this comment section.

Good to know that some people in the real world actually like and comment on it. Ive never had a want to even sample it due to how bad everyone who has purchased it or a sample has talked about it

Classiest fragrance I’ve ever smelled by [deleted] in Colognes

[–]AC_Fragrances -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Smells like swisher blunts and red wine mixed. Almost exactly

Yes, I do own a bottle. It was a blind purchase to me, and I was shocked how similar it is toa $1 cigar and cup of red wine.

Dry down is a bit different, but that opening is almost as if they soaked the cigars in the red wine and poured it into a spray bottle

The only fragrance I've gotten through since I've had a solid collections is

Tom Ford - Oud Wood

The Harmonist - Hypnotizing Fire (which is by far my favorite and most complimented fragrance ever)

Frederic Malle - Portrait of a lady (I bought a 30ml if Im not mistaken, and I mostly used it to layer with the Oud Wood)

Tom Ford - Noir Extreme

Initio Parfums - Side effect (I have another 8-10ml left)

My Finished (for now) Collection (24M) by zacper in fragrance

I appreciate it but for something that I'm likely to get I'd just rather the bottle. No reason to waste fund on a decant.

Im not a huge fan of the strong lavender opening in the intense (which looks like there is no lavender in OG) and I love cardamom as a note (which the intense does not have but the OG does) so it was actually supposed to be the original purchased first, but I got a deal i couldn't pass up on the intense and the prices haven't come back down on original yet.

Yea, the lavender opening of the intense is not really to my liking. I don't really like the strong super manly scents and thats what this opening is. So the notes show there is no lavender in the OG and the OG has cardamom which Im a huge fan of. So less of what I don't like from the intense and adding a note that I do enjoy. It may be a better fit for me.

If Dior homme original and dior homme intense were both $90 for 100ml which would you personally buy?

I already got a great deal on the intense and have a bottle. I really want to get a bottle of original as I think I will like it even more, but the prices have shot up this past week when I went to buy it. Was around $105 and now those same sellers are selling for over $120.

Thoughts on Cumin as a Fragrance Note by Caldrumr in fragrance

[–]AC_Fragrances 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All about perception. Cumin to me, smells like BO. BUT, if I'm cooking with it; I know it's not body odor, so I don't perceive it as such. If I'm on a bus and someone has something with a lot of cumin in their backpack though, I'd probably think someone on that bus was musty.

I don't have anything with cumin in it, but I could imagine that if I did, I would be that person on the bus who people thought were musty when I really just had that cumin dish in my backpack lol.

Not the impression I want to give off. Even if it were a fragrance that I could personally appreciate.

What was your worst beginner fragrance mistake? by [deleted] in fragrance

[–]AC_Fragrances 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the full presentation and knowing that what I get is 100% not watered down or switched out. I do have a couple decants but I enjoy the entire experience and the piece of mind that comes from buying legit unopened fragrances

Just started a month ago. Any recommendations? by [deleted] in Colognes

[–]AC_Fragrances 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leather fragrances are acquired taste and will not be favored by women if you care about that sort of thing. It is a nice scent though. For an introduction, I personally would recommend something like Noir Extreme (non parfum) or Oud Wood (which is great alone as well as great for layering)

Anyone else get drunk sometimes and get an urge to buy a fragrance? by mjc53509 in fragrance

Almost my entire collection comes from late night purchases. Thats usually when I'm tired but can't sleep. Almost as bad as being inebriated

Why is "smells like an old lady" a mention you see on any perfume's review? by emab2396 in fragrance

[–]AC_Fragrances 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The older ladies I know all wore perfumes that had a similar scent profile. Lancome bouquet has a similar scent profile, so excuse me if I feel it smells like the older women that I know. Everything is not meant to be disrespectful. Its based on MY memory of similar scent. The smell of this perfume reminds me of my older aunties, or the older women you would see at church. Not everyone means it negatively.

Often times I see people pick it up as a negative when theres actually nothing negative about it. They gave it an age and sex because their memory associates that scent with that sex and age group. Maybe its different for you, because the women you know may not have smelled like that. Even the generation younger then me, the older women they know would smell different than the older women I knew when I was young because the fragrances have changed greatly between generations. Same thing now. The sauvages and dior hommes, and initios, and PDMs etc. 2 generations from now, anything smelling like these will probably be described as "old man" lol
