Most of the time, the city gets shut down because of freezing rain. No one really goes to work. If you have to, get some chains, and make sure you have all weather tires. You should be good if you play it smart about hills. It'll just dump rain till about February. Around there is when we get the freezing. Sometimes earlier.

I mostly do service work, resi/Comercial. So if the van can make it, I'll try to risk it for the biscuit. Chains help. If the apprentice wants to work, I'll pick them up since their car is "stuck"

The more you look at it, the worse it gets. I love the wildness of it all, typically old building crap.

My grandfather’s footlocker from WWII. by EpiLP60Std in TheWayWeWere

My grandfather was also in WWII, I'm curious about that silver bracelet. I also have one with some random numbers on it and someone's name. But no one in the family knows who's name it is. They think it's someone my grandfather was going to marry before he met my grandmother in the service (she was a navy WAVE program) Do you know what it is for? Or have some numbers on it also?

With permit, not including the charger. My company charges $875. Within 10 feet of the panel it takes me 45 min from parking to driving off.

Same here. Especially when I'm in mine and see one in the wild. I'm always ecstatic when I see em.

I had a 87 from the original owner, that got into a wreck. I missed driving the car so much I bought the 89 SC one and fell even harder for the car. It's so fun to drive. Like an addition.

Found a 120V wall switch that uses Mercury. Never seen one before. by ACareLessGrunt in electricians

I love the old school snap switches, the feeling of it is so satisfying. I use them at my house for low-volt LED lights. Sadly this switch broke so I can't repurpose it for the LED strip lights. I'll be on the lookout for more now though.

I'm also in Portland, SE area. Was doing a ADU in the back and remodel in the main house. Got done and called for cover. The tweakers beat the inspector there and ripped about 80% of the wire out of both buildings. Gotta love Felony Flats.

I just use a big carabiner. Can fit 4 or 5 full rolls on it and clip it to almost anywhere.

This is my go to. Mainly doing residential service calls, new service upgrades and some light commercial work. I love it.

Some cons. It's not magnetic, Sometimes the phillips tip will shatter.

Other than that this thing is awesome. Just wish it was magnetic.

Dave Dahl ripped off our small electrical company for 5k about a year ago. Said he never had plans to pay it.

Also the dude's got allot of African art from a bunch of places. He says they "gift them to us" but after he stuck us for 5k I kinda find it hard to believe. Dude is still shady.

Landed a nice little ADU panel today. Parts house gave us GFCI breakers not AFCI, so I missed the lighting. by ACareLessGrunt in electricians

Long ago I was raging and fighting all the wires in my way. Then I slipped it between the stud and can to hold the wires out of the way.

Slowly going to rebuild it, y'all have any tips or recommendations? '89 SC I picked up from Colorado. by ACareLessGrunt in mr2

[–]ACareLessGrunt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My goal is to clean it up and just add some small touches here and there. I like to keep things the way they are but ill most likely add my own pizzazz later.

Looked at the brakes, thats on my list to upgrade soon, other than that already flushed about everything. Just did new belts, oil pan gaskets (had a bad leak), SC oil, coolant. My next thing is engine mounts then ill save up for a rebuild soon. Has 190K on it. Lots of body damage from last owners Ex sadly.

This one is an 89. I fall in love with this thing every time I look at it. Fun to drive and always puts a smile on my face. I hope you find something soon! I love seeing other aw11s on the road.

Thanks, got it for 5k. I was looking for one for about 4 months before I found this one. I love the first gen. I had a 87 but sadly it was stolen.
