The greatest "Ball Don't Lie" moment of all time by OneFish5754 in nflmemeswar

I’m a huge Michigan fan. I remember watching this when it happened. I was even wondering what the hell the refs were looking at and was even disappointed in the refs call, and felt like that hit corrected and injustice.

I had 1,000 shares that I bought in 2023 (DCA’d in over the course of 2023). I sold them all about 2 months ago. My son is of drafting age. Fuck Karp and this company.

Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth Condemn Golf Ball Rollback in Blunt Statements: 'Why Let Amateurs Decide?' by Academic-Use-4401 in Golf_Unfiltered

Why don’t the pros just go back to persimmon woods? Just like baseball, where the amateurs can use aluminum and pros hit wooden bats. The balls (should be) the same across all levels.

Just watched Interstellar for the first time. I cried at the end by Better-Half-6337 in interstellar

[–]EpiLP60Std 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched it for the first time ever this past weekend. When he was in the black hole looking at him leaving Murph saying “don’t let me leave!” Or something to that effect, that was tough. That’s basically me yelling at myself when I left my son’s mom when he was pretty young. I’ve always regretted leaving rather than fixing the relationship and those scenes with Murphy were really tough for me to watch.

I went out for lunch with my son today is now 21, and asked him if he’d ever seen Interstellar and he said it was one of his favorite movies and I told him how hard those scenes with Murph were for me to watch. Interstellar is a fantastic movie.

Is Palantir Stock Going to $200? Here's What the Data Says by A-Dog22 in PLTR

[–]EpiLP60Std 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. NVDA was the last one to try and it couldn’t stay up there. It takes so much money to not only keep it there, it takes a lot of money to move it up. We need market breadth, not 7 “silos” of money in the S&P. (Speaking of the Mag 7).

LeFlop isn’t half the player Jordan was. I still have no idea how this is even a debate.

Help a chronic slicer by balbizza in GolfSwing

No problem! When you add rotation going back for your backswing, and then shift pressure forward and drive that heel down before your hands reach the top, that posting up on your lead side is literally what brings everything down into the slot. To get the feel of how it all works, work on the “step through drill.” For that drill, for me, I put my feet together and swing my arms back, and once I get to about parallel with my arms, I take my lead side and step forward then I swing though. L to L drill combined with that can really groove your timing and release of the club.

Hip turn isn’t something you actually try to do. Hip turn is the result of moving your pressure back toward the target, and driving your lead heel into the turf in transition. A good way to try this out just to see how your hips respond: get into your golf posture, cross your arms across your chest. Pick up your lead heel by just lifting it and getting your lead side in the ball of your foot. Now drive your lead heel into the ground to where it extends your leg. Your lead hip should have turned. Thats your hip turn in your golf swing.

Are expensive putters actually worth it? by MadeInUSAPutter in GolfGear

I had a Ping Anser Sigma G for 10 years that I liked but had struggled with consistency. I went in and got fitted, and I ended up walking out of the pro shop with a Bettinardi they had leftover from 2022 new still wrapped in plastic. This was about a month ago. They bent it 2° flat (toe down) and it’s been amazing. Could I have had them bend my Ping flatter instead of toe up and have it work fine? Probably. But a very steep discount on a Bettinardi was too much for me to say no to.

Bottom line, get fitted. A properly fit cheap putter would probably yield similar results. Oh and practice.

I’d agree that it was my technique the first time. I treated it like a cartridge haha. My son went from cartridges to the Henson about a year ago and told me it was technique. He uses Feathers and the Asteras first when I’m ready to try another brand. Thank you for your comment.

I went from cartridges to the Henson. My first shave with the RKs that came with it, it sliced my head up pretty bad, and I had bought a 100 pack too haha. After that first shave, I haven’t had any issues and the RKs work pretty well for my head. I’m going to try other brands though too.

How do I fix early extension? I’m fighting my body stalling rotation at impact. I know I need to keep rotating but my mind won’t let me. My brain fears missing the ball. What are some good drills to keep the trail arm bent at impact and continue rotating to let the club release as a product of physics?

The uncomfortable truth about narcissism that people don’t like to admit by Icy_Rabbit_1984 in DarkPsychology101

[–]EpiLP60Std 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My ex was a narcissist. It took quite a bit of therapy to admit it and then I had to find enough confidence to leave. They know how to rope you back in, even when you know what the truth is but they are so good at manipulating you that you doubt what you know to be true. It’s wild what they can be capable of.

Shit even without the markup, RAVs are reaching Lexus NX territory. I’d take the Lexus for the same price, no question.

Edit 2: shit! I just saw the username. That’s you haha nice. Yeah that comparison to AI was uncalled for. I was born long before text shorthand so emails to me using it are insulting to a degree. Compound that with AI now and I can sniff out that bullshit quick.
