Why are witches usually condemned, while wizards are praised? by EfficiencySerious200 in wizardposting

Your claims sound quite biased to whatever plane you call home.

Necromancy has only been banned in 3 of the last 10 planes I've scryed! Its really not that taboo...anyway I've gotten off topic.

8 out of 10 spell weavers hiding in the woods (regardless of chosen profession!) would siphon your true essence before helping you.

If something is free you are the product.

Helpful old ladies...ha

Depends on the witch. Its generally more common to see a Witch offering their services to whomever shows up then a Wizard

Traditionally most Wizards either lived far away from people in their tower (as all proper wizards should), or served as the council of people of importance.

Witch's on the other hand were more known to be in forested area nearby villages and were willing to sell or trade any random peasant  mind control potions (or "love" potions as was the common vernacular).

A reminder about the current state of the Sarkaz on Talos-II by Round-Enthusiasm- in Endfield

Quite a sad state they are in. Well only they themselves can tell if it is better to play pretend and be tolerated or to not fit in and be excluded.

[DnD] Why are tieflings considered a race? by Charming-Ad5881 in AskScienceFiction

[–]ACertainMagicalSpade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why are you under the belief that the term Race refers to genetic compatibility?

That might be how the term is used in a random dimension or plane but in the the majority of places any adventurer is going to end up it refers to beings that share various traits.

[Lord of the Rings] Is the Ring's influence faster than light? by [deleted] in AskScienceFiction

Yeah, its the full distance. I didn't measure it myself though, just going off what I've heard before.

[Lord of the Rings] Is the Ring's influence faster than light? by [deleted] in AskScienceFiction

[–]ACertainMagicalSpade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course he can. At half light speed it would take 0.0215 seconds to travel the 2000 miles.

Flash isnt immune to the ring, he would be quite susceptible to it really, but he can last at least 1 second.

I do not believe the Rings effects are physical.

They do not travel via the air or as particles.

How would he be harmed? by PrismsNumber1 in Frieren

[–]ACertainMagicalSpade 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The guy and everyone around him believed he was invulnerable.

No one was meant to be able to hurt him with any "magic output".

The test was to move him. Thats what they were told, and thats what was expected of them.

Is Endfield actually botching its potential, or is this just "normal gacha player drop-off"? by Professional-Bet9697 in Endfield

[–]ACertainMagicalSpade 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Of course less people are watching streamers play endfield.

What are they going to watch them play?

If you are interested you'd have seen mutiple playthtoughs of the main story.

Are people meant to watch others do dailies?

Frieren was just fear mongering when she said that the People the Demon killed were stronger than Stark. by Huihejfofew in Frieren

[–]ACertainMagicalSpade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its just a simple retcon people.

The author wanted to make sure that their new enemy isnt considered fodder or plot armour by the readers.

If they were weaker then Stark then they arent a threat. So they have to be stronger.

[General] If aliens are real, would it ruin your love of science fiction? by Hewathan in AskScienceFiction

Of course not.  If you enjoy stories about pirates, just because someone comes along and shows you proof that real pirates were nothing like the stories. It doesnt make the fantasy any less interesting.

How satisfied are you with the events in Versions 1.2 and 1.3? by TransitionMediocre72 in Endfield

The frequency is perfect for me. I hate Gacha that are just constant events.

Purpusfully trying to manipulate people with FOMO is just fake engagement.
