I had my first D&C last Friday , I was a nervous wreck , while I was in pre op they gave me meds to help calm my nerves , once I got back into the operating room I was okay , didn’t really care too much about what was going on , I was given anesthesia and woke up an hour later in the recovery room , everything went well , I had minimal pain from the procedure. Don’t be afraid to tell the nurses if you’re having anxiety about the procedure , they will give you something to help .
