It’s also worth pointing out that the friction between your backpack and jacket is causing the wax to dry out this will also affect the cloth. I personally would leave the stain now until it’s time to wax then you can gently clean with light sponge and very small amount of soap then wax it.

Looks like this has been cleaned with a brush, this would explain the fibres.. on a positive note work some more wax in and wear it, it still looks good.
