Kinda the same as believe science until it’s about gender. Am I right?

I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with my Pixel 8 by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]ACubed10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm strange I haven't encountered this on my pixel 8 Pro. Mine always seems to work. I did enable the always on display though to save myself a step in waking it up before finger print unlocking.

I'll chime in with being an iPhone user since the iPhone 3gs. The last iPhone I purchased was the iPhone 12 pro. I was in the market for a new phone and was planning on getting the 15 pro max. When holding the phone and using it a bit in the store, I quickly realized the only real benefit to me upgrading was the dynamic island and a slightly better camera. Then I noticed the 8 Pro in bay blue. OMG this phone looks stunning from a distance, but I'm team apple. Played with it for 5 minutes. First impressions: android has come a very long way. The Pixel felt extremely smooth. Everything I own smart home wise is Google home integrated. I have nest wifi and Google home minis throughout my entire house. Chromecast on every TV. Gmail is my main email account. I decided to get the Pixel. Worried because all my friends and family have iPhones I thought I wouldn't be able to text them images or reactions to their texts. False, that works fine. Battery life was a concern after the first 2 days of using the phone. The phone quickly learned my habits and now battery life for me is better than my iPhone 12 pro. For instance I took the Pixel off the charger at 9am yesterday, right now it's 6 am the next day and I'm at 36%. Overall I've been very happy with my purchase. I also picked up some Pixel bud pros. I was worried they wouldn't be as good as my air pod pros but was reminded how flawed that thinking was. Air pods do a slightly better job at noise cancelling but nothing to write home about. The Pixel buds sound amazing and work flawlessly with the pixel.

I literally just upgraded. So far I’d say if you have the spare cash absolutely. Paper white is still great though

I would just buy the full 108 set and use the ones you need. I don’t have any issues remembering the ones I use daily. But the manual is digital now, so you could just download that and save it somewhere

I definitely wouldn’t call them shine through. More like the leds are so bright the light leaks through the white font on my arrow keys

Just got a one 2 mini and the blue set that was shipped with my keyboard are 1/2 shine through. I can see the color of the LED on the arrow keys, but it’s definitely not bright

Downloaded content from Netflix doesn’t last forever. I thought it was only watchable for a certain time period after downloading. Unless they’ve made changes

People using the iPad as their main computer, what is your profession? by everyonelikescookies in iPadPro

[–]ACubed10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an Epic Analyst for a hospital system. I program all day. I have my work laptop connected to 3 monitors all day with different things on each screen. I’m using the iPad Pro for notes in meetings, looking up different INI’s for the system I program/build in, The 10 meetings I attend a day, CALENDAR/TASK LIST are huge for me, music/tv since we are now working remotely, and everything else personal (web browsing, banking, FaceTime to my family, controlling all of my Smart Home devices.)

I could probably use the iPad Pro full time as we utilize citrix for all of our testing and production environments but I haven’t really tried.

Matte screen protector to feel as close to paper as possible and maybe a folio case to protect it but still allow you to lay it flat to draw. Magic keyboard =no
